People can already get rid of our barriers and ice block with how OP MM hunters are its impossible to beat a good one with tranc shot dispeling alter time nerf their dmg or make it undispellable

Alter for how powerful it is purge is the counterplay. Its not affected by dampen and lasts a full 10 seconds.
Hunters having kodo tranquilizer (rips 2 buffs per tranq) coupled with their damage is the issue. They instant pop barriers and have a much easier time snagging alter + int if you dont have any other junk buffs active.
Best you can do is learn to pre line goes on you and protect alter that way rather then alter in the open and hope you can ride out that 10s.
Another thing that helps is having a WA to refresh intellect and always keeping it up on purges. Typically you want to have int buff active and reshield on alter and line if needed.
Also dont greed it. IE you altered at 100 and got bursted and purged but it held and your at 40-50% and 5 seconds left. Just rewind and wall rather then hold it for 1-3 globals more and get purged and have to block lol.

without it MM hunters kill mages in 2 seconds you can change it to mass dispel only but purge is OP against it
