I mean, the game says in several places that most non-raid quests can’t be progressed while in a raid group…
Imagine being this edgy. The daily quest literally gets COMPLETED when doing it in a raid group. Stop comparing it to world quests, this isn’t a world quest. Any normal daily or quest can be completed in a raid group, nothing has ever prevented that. The game quite literally tells you your progress has been documented yet now we find out it actually hasn’t.
Blizz needs to communicate and apologize to the players from my view. I am surprised this has happened to mount collectors. Mount collection should have been a highlight of patch 8.3.
The only tool here is you, buddy. Acting all high and mighty and blaming the players that were being told by the game itself their progress was being recorded. But hey, keep trying to compare this situation to world quests since that’s the only ‘argument’ you have.
You just have mental issues and can’t read things without getting offended.
Can’t read things? What things? You don’t even know what you’re talking about with this whole situation but Blizzard according to you can do no wrong. You really are as simple as your name suggests.
This is true, most non-raid quests can’t be progressed in a raid group. However, if you try, the quest will not complete and you know you can’t do it in a raid group. In this case, the quest completes, you are done for the day, and can’t to it again until the next day. Yet it did not count towards the mount at all. Understand the problem with that?
Oh well ill eventually get it. You will too. Calm down everyone.
People just need to calm down, mark my words, it will be in our mail box within the next week.
#And I have more mounts than you.
I got the same “copy and paste”, kodo-dung GM response, from the same fraggin’ GM as many of you. Said doing the daily in a raid group won’t count towards the mount, but the dev team is looking into the Friendly Alpaca. So hopefully, they’ll fix it. Keep your fingers crossed and pray to the Earth-Mother they make good on it.
The problem is that you were doing non-raid quests in a raid group. Just don’t do that. Problem solved.
That’s the thing I find most frustrating about WoW this expansion. Frustration and time-wasting does not equal a challenge or difficulty. Make the game have mechanics that need to be worked around, not time-wasting geography, vague rules, etc.
Here is the thing.
This is so very wrong of blizzard because it is displaying a massive hypocrasy.
They can’t have their cake and eat it too, let me explain.
On the first day of release of this patch people EXPLOITED by being in a raid group and getting the mount day one, which was UNINTENDED. Blizzard saw this and immediately jumped to fix this (fair enough too as it was not their intent to get the mount this way.) This benefited people but did not benefit blizzard (we get it, they need time played etc)
Now however, the shoe is on the other foot and another concequence has popped up where people are doing XYZ (the way blizzard intended the mount to be gotten) and yet it is broken and not working as intended, yet blizzard are happy to let this one slide?! This benefits blizzard but not the people.
I am sorry but that is hypocritical and deserves a 24 hour hotfix like the exploit deserved. Same same treatment blizzard, not just a one way street here.
This is the crap that pisses me off, the one sided hypocrisy.
24 hour hotfix to fix this mess, clearly it can be done because you did it when the players were benefiting.
Forget this mount then. Not spending gods know how many hours searching for this thing solo for 8 feedings. WTH.
That is not the problem at all. The problem is the quests completed successfully while in a raid group. So since they were successful every day, why don’t I have my mount? Answer that please.
I’m so sad. Not only have I been pushed back to 3/7 days, but I also can’t find the alpaca anywhere after hours of searching
We thought it could be done in a raid because day 1 a bunch of people got the mount in a raid.
The only part that can’t be done in a raid is an invisible quest that takes 7 dailies to complete. AFAIK players can’t even track this quest.
Also when they “fixed” the bug they made no mention of the raid aspect, only that it was bugged in regards to people getting credit for the hidden quest more than once from other players completion.
They could have said “this mount can no longer be earned while in a raid group” and boom, problem avoided.
Instead we get canned responses from GMs about an issue, and we honestly have no idea what the intent was with this secret mount at this point.
Everything is pure speculation beyond the feed it 7 times part until we get an official statement about how it works.
Right now it just feels like it’s punishing people who didn’t hop on the exploit train to free mountsville on day 1.
No. That never happened. They got it in a group under 5 people.
Hotfixed.
Also use /dump GetQuestObjectiveInfo(58881,0,false) to see how far you are from completion.
Have you tried unplugging the Alpaca and turning it off and on again in 15 or more seconds?
…hic!
