Almost every group is 3 DPS and a tank waiting for a healer lately

hybrid role?

LMAO

if everyone is 100% hp whatre you gonna do? just stand there and do nothing?

just do damage. you have the abilities to do damage for a reason

Is irrelevant and has some of the worst healers you can possibly imagine posting here.

The bad healers that cry and complain because they can’t keep up.

Yeah if you don’t toss out dps it’s pretty detrimental to the group.

It adds up. Its rare but everyone’s experienced those less than 5 percent health left on boss wipes. Not fun. Plus you kill mobs faster.

The same could be said about the DPS and tank players here as well though.

DF is the first xpac I didn’t enjoy healing, and I’m not the only healer that feels that way.

I run on fumes mostly. It’s the norm to be <40%, and this has been happening since week 1.

I’ll throw some judgments out as needed, but my main focus is going to healing and maintaining mana. Just how it is currently.

easy to find groups. What’s not to like?

You should really go attempt the holy paladin mage tower challenge.

It will give you a clear picture of what is actually expected of holy paladins these days

the fact that u have arguable more to deal with than everyone else

tanks have to know routes/%'s and whatnot but still less mechanics to deal with than healer imo

Not really seeing the problem here lol.

Yes, if there is a ton of downtime and DPS aren’t soaking up your mana, then throw out some damage.

People are ridiculous though and are acting like the alternative to doing constant DPS as a healer is being afk.

except thats literally what theyre crying about

“nooo i shouldnt + wont dps at all as a healer! im a healer!”

that is exactly why they will never progress higher than their currently highest timed 15

That’s absolutely how healing should always be.

You’re trying to keep people alive. If you have spare globals and people won’t die, that’s when you can do some DPS.

And obviously we’re in a M+ season where there’s a lot more healing to be done than in SL, so we’re spending more of our time on triage and less of our time on DPS.

healers don’t need to dps. But at the same time, healers that explicitly don’t want to dps are likely bad at healing and have low ambition.

No, they really aren’t, and literally just said that they throw out damage when they can.

What they’re saying is that not every healer needs or should be turned into a fistweaver or disc priest that is built around a hybrid concept.

30 million damage at the end of the dungeon, from a healer isn’t a ton, but it does help. It also isn’t needed in most keys though.

“healers dont need to dps”

tell that to anyone doing over a +15, myself included

if my healer is sitting there doing nothing i will 100% remove them from the party, -1 my key, and +2 it with a healer who knows how to play their class & role correctly

maybe because people are queueing for the rocket

I doubt you would.

People want success, and not obsess over if healer is dpsing or not. And if you have done so, highly skeptical.

This is why I decided to keep playing rdruid this expac despite wanting to try paladin this season. I had a healer who wouldn’t dps, asked politely if he would, and this was a +5 mind you. “No thanks I’m a healer.”
I removed him from the group, sighed, and logged into my druid.
