They gave less than one day’s notice. Anyone who didn’t happen to check the forums THAT DAY after a certain time would have missed it.
Many players never look at the forums at all.
There should have been a bit more lead time, and perhaps some kind of in-game warning (say, an in-game mail) that at least gave more folks the opportunity to not miss the window.
The problem is that the hotfix notice in the launcher was posted too late. Hotfix should have been pushed (or at least communicated) yesterday, effective on the following week’s restarts.
Blizzard has made plenty of bad decisions in the past, including during this rollout where they didn’t reset the currency completely, but claiming they are sadists because you are unbelievably lazy and couldn’t be bothered to read the upcoming changes is absolutely hilarious.
If there were any day where they should read the forums, it’d be Monday. You know, since weekly reset is on Tuesday and that’s when they literally make 99% of the changes to the game. That’s been common knowledge for 15 years. Not playing every day is still an irredeemably idiotic excuse for hoarding currency, for literally no reason at all, and then complaining when it got changed.
One day when you are old I hope you remember how addicted you are to this game right now. How your life revolves around this game because you are the one that is the outlier in this, not the people who don’t visit the forum daily.

I doubt anything is funny to you, Gimp. It’s not the humor that you feel. It’s the sweet, sweet pain of your sadist master flogging you again and giving you that pain that you so dearly missed.
Addicted to this game? I didn’t even log on last week until Monday night to get my weekly stuff done. You and your ilk are just unbelievably lazy, outrage driven children who think that the world should revolve around you. You aren’t even willing to put the most basic of effort into keeping up to date with a game that you allegedly care so much about that you’d shower the entire forums with your tears because of a virtual currency that was never meant to be hoarded in the first place.
Oh, I find plenty of things to be funny. You are just a little child who demands that everything be tailored to him despite the fact that you don’t do any challenging content whatsoever that would require you to have BiS essences on your main, let alone your alts.

Ooh. Someone’s feisty. Didn’t get any whipping from your masters lately, gimp?
And obviously I have all (but 1) essences on my main. I’ve also done 5 masks on 6 toons, but I digress.
Blizzard will do anything now to prolong your sub. Even if it takes whatever time you took to collect echoes. Thats the state that we live in now. It does kind of suck that they did this change so soon to Shadowlands…nothing that you do besides collecting gold will matter between now and the new expansion.
There is no irony whatsoever. Your kind is outraged at the tiniest things despite not doing anything meaningful in the game whatsoever. Then you come to the forums to whine about them changing things, despite them giving notice that they’d be changing. The only thing I complained about is the fact that they refused to put people on a level playing field, which has a huge impact on balance at every level of gameplay. Not that you’d actually know anything about that.
Sure you have. As I stated earlier, you do no challenging content whatsoever on any character that you have and you have the audacity to come whine on these forums about them changing a currency that fools like yourself decided to hoard for literally no reason whatsoever despite the fact it was never meant to be held onto in that fashion.
The problem with the fancy math you’re proud of is he never said he did visions. The only thing he said was that he farmed echoes over 24 characters, in fact he didn’t even get specific on how he did that part, but I’d wager assaults would be what he given he said he’s been doing this for a month since they’re extremely quick (quicker than your 20 minute math estimate) and gave 275 echoes for doing all three assaults…which would also give him just over 1000 echoes per character if he did it for a month and as he said he had about 1000 per character.
So even using your garbage 20 minute assault estimate you’re looking at 24 hours over the course of the week meaning he’d be dedicating a WHOPPING 3.42 hours a day to just barely pull that off. But really you can average about 10 minutes per assault and get far closer to a theoretical 12 hours necessary to do assaults on 24 characters, and add a little fluff under the assumption of not being 100% efficient 100% of the time.
Oh and I wanted to point this gem out. 48 hours split over 7 days is 6.85 hours a day, not 9.
Complained about on this subject? Yeah, my only complaint was they didn’t reset the currency. Pointing out the hilarious, nonsensical whining of people like you isn’t complaining. It’s pointing out how people like you are petulant children who think they should be handed everything on the silver platter and every bit of game changes should be cleared through them first. The funny thing about your “THEY SHOULD HAVE ADDED A NEW CURRENCY” garbage point is that they’d then have to give Echoes, the new currency, AP, Resources and the like for everything you did in-game when they could just, you know, give Echoes and the rest.
And obviously I have all (but 1) essences on my main. I’ve also done 5 masks on 6 toons, but I digress.
Sure you have.
I do, gimp, I do. This is one of my 2 mains. It has all but 1 essence at 3, or 4. And Ashraiser was one of the alts on which I did 5 masks. Ashraiser, btw, has less than 5 days “/played” at lvl 120.
My other main did 1st 5 masks when the cloak was still 14.
Don’t feel bad. Just go lose an arena or something. You’ll feel almost as good as when your master whips you. It’s not the real thing, but it will tie you over.
