Horde and Alliance both
Highly unlikely. Ally might look like the stronger faction going into SOM but that’s only for raiding. A small percent of those players actually PVP. Players choose Ally to not PVP. The largest segments of that community play on PVE servers.
Ally outnumber Horde in Classic as well but Horde still had 15 min queue times on the day p2 dropped which grew to 45 min in later phases.
That’s a beta with limited number of testers all consolidated to one faction for testing and shouldn’t be used as an indicator of what is to come.
There is a lot of speculation about how it will turn out, but my money is on the Horde having longer than average queue times. As it has been for all of WOW’s history.

Nah, check all the server discords, they all favor ally. Lots of horde are going ally this time around.
Same faction BG is now enabled on the PTR though. Im guessing they will launch with that.
The only one I found only had ~900 who clicked Ally out of 3400 members. A lot of horde might play ally but that’s not a guarantee that they will PVP. In every iteration of this game for that last 17 years horde have been the larger PVP faction. They have better racial abilities for PVP. Blizzard has tried to incentivize the alliance to player more pvp they just don’t.
Players play Ally to have smoother raids, but players play horde to kill ally. Regardless of what changes blizzard make some players will always choose Horde and other Ally.
