This was largely brought on by alliance players that left servers due to almost even odds thus abandoning members of their faction. My server for instance, Kromcrush was almost perfectly balanced at 52/48. Well, many alliance couldn’t handle being out in the world with those odds so they flocked to Heartseeker or whatever that alliance heavy server is they all ran to so they could pick flowers without the possibility of having to fight.
If you call that being on a high horse that is fine but many of the issues brought on in phase 2 were due to alliance fleeing even servers.

You’re not understanding the purpose, whether or not Blizzard wants premades, they’ve been here since vanilla. People have been literally doing this forever. All of the sudden the Horde have to wait an hour to queue because of overpopulation, and their win rate goes from 100% to 95% and they come cry to the forums.

While people are crying about balancing AV, how about we go with the 2.4 changes moving the horde spawn cave back further.

I guess I’m having trouble understanding… We have an absolutely insane win-rate in AV, if alliance have to pre-made to be competitive, I don’t understand the “game breaking issue”, that is the definition of working together in a mmorpg.
What really sounds like the game breaking issue is that one side is winning 95% of the time if you remove premades… Please don’t tell me people actually think it’s because “horde good pvp, alliance bad lol”. The map has some real issues, including 2 very different starting points, and geography. Try to be realistic and unbiased in your arguments because I know you’re all adults now, this isnt 2004.

This sorta makes me sad as an alliance player. Why does our side have to cheat to win?

Horde are probably doing the same thing or something similar.
Someone is actually making sense? Am I dreaming??

The problem with looking at only winrate, is that the Alliance strategies being used were not the ones aimed at winning…but aimed to maximize honor/hour. As soon as games became long, the Alliance basically gave up instead of struggling and fighting a long game they might have won.

The fix that Blizzard implemented was to stop having AV games with only 15-20 alliance in them at the start. This is fixed now so why would they go any further to fix something that is allowed and not against any rules? There is nothing left to fix so what you should be arguing for instead is a policy change that players cannot coordinate to join the same BG past the 5 man group.
Once again, Blizzard did nothing to stop premades, they stopped empty lobbies from starting. Coincidentally, this exacerbated the problem for the horde as their queues for AV are now even longer and more saturated with premades than ever before.
We waited hours for AV in vanilla, so…
Lol, It’s adorable that the ONLY way Alliance can even win an av is by exploiting the matchmaking system. Wait until this gets patched too so horde can start dominating you guys again just like we did in phase 2, and in most BG’s where it’s pug v pug.

because of racial unbalance.
Nah, I don’t need to exploit the matchmaking system to win some BG’s.
To be honest, I think “winning” has little to do with it. If losing the AV gave more honor, then the pre-mades would be doing that.
You are trying to place some kind of emphasis on the Alliance wanting to win, but the reality is the pre-mades are there for the HP/hr. and could care less about the ultimate outcome of the battle.
If you are trying to make them feel ashamed or embarrassed by the current behavior, good luck with that, they could care less.
Yeah, “Big brains” alright when your only hope of winning an av is to mass premade and rush a PvE enemy while getting absolutely destroyed by random pug horde otherwise.

Again, “winning” for the sake of winning has little barring here. If sitting at the GY and letting the other side win gave the best HP/hr. then the pre-mades would be doing that. The ONLY concern pre-mades have is how much honor they are getting.
You are not going to have any luck trying to shame them by questioning their ability to win without the mechanic. If a change was put in to stop this new variant of the behavior, then the pre-mades just move to WSG where the HP is the best or find a new strategy in AV that give the best HP/hr.
Don’t worry, I know very well that those alliance premades don’t care one bit about actually pvping as intended or having any sort of “Fun.” They’re the ones ruining ranking for the rest of their server, and all the other allis can get mad at them for it. Doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s still an exploit and without it horde would still be consistently dominating av games per usual.
The message that exploiting the game isn’t ok?
Where can i sign on for that newsletter?
funny how that works. none of the horde rankers have ever had to try make a premade AV. the facts dont lie, alliance are just horrible at the map.
