Exactly. And its goofy to even be asked that question in the first place. this topic comes up frequently enough in here, lol…CT IS used…why in gods name would it stop being used just because I turn level 50 lmao.
The concept was solid…but in typical blizzard fashion the failed miserably in the execution.
just make the game like ESO scaling. If they did that theyd never have to do another squish again.
If its an older expansion. allow CT to drop old content down to maybe half our level so we can farm it.
‘problem’ literally solved and literally what they SHOULD have done from the start.
As it is another squish is inevitable assuming this game lasts a couple more expansions.
Classic max is 30 and legion is what…45?
Lord…only blizzard could have screwed it up this bad.
ALL old content should be the same for god sake, given we can choose any expansion to level in.
So, gathering data without actually getting to the root of the matter and finding out the nitty gritty, right?
You chose to engage in this dance when you made that little edit, sunshine.
The trog is a trog is a trog, and just wants to appear smart, while all it is doing is being smarmy.
(And, aye, I agree with ya)
“If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck”
the excuses don’t matter when something happens often enough.
You don’t know the reason why until you actually talk to people. You have no idea what is going in their lives, what their thoughts are, what is happening.
You do not know everything, and acting like you do by making inferences just shows your ignorance.
I am not interested in individual reasons. There is no point in adjusting the game for a group of people who appear to be doing the same thing. Not doing challenging content when the content is current and then claiming they want all the old content to be challenging.
If you can do challenging content then do it now in this expansion - if you can’t do challenging content then why would you be able to all of a sudden in old content when it would be harder to get groups together.
Doesn’t the game kick you into SL at level 48? Not 49?
Simple solution that lets them restrict 50-60 leveling to Shadowlands, but still lets players go back to Chromie Time post level 49… Disable Chromie Time from 50-59, thus allowing use of Chromie Time to level 1-50, and then available again for adventure only (no experience) at level 60.
I’d love to be able to scale myself down so I can do old quests without one shotting everything. Even if its still super easy it would make it feel more real, at least.
throughout this expansion people have asked for the following things
- chromie time up to 60
- being able to do old content for current content rewards
- open up all dungeons regardless of chromie time choices
I am very very doubtful many people would be happy with your dubiously ‘simple’ solution. Because the next thing they say will we are doing ‘hard’ content, we want current content rewards. And pretty much the same time you would get more complaints about all dungeons/raids not available in all chromie time content.
Again if they can do this in a day, I don’t care. But if they have to take months to do this I don’t want them wasting time on old content yet again.
Some people just dont understand that players can play games just because they are fun and not because they need some sort of reward or progress.
You can start SL at 48, but you don’t get kicked out of Chromie Time until you ding 50.
I’d love the option to stay in Chromie Time till max level. I think it should be an option with each x.1 or x.1.5 patch. Gives plenty of time to see the shiny new content and provides an alternative for anyone getting burned out with it. Seems like a no-brainer.
Side note for some weak hell as exotic pets…yeah, you may to do this. For real.
At least the naked part. Even one weak as helll latest expac rng proc attack can kill that pet like its cool in the taming.
- People want Chromie time at level 60 because the way the system was initially outlined made it out to be something that we would have the choice to go back and do instead of ONLY being an option for leveling new characters. Do I think people will be perfectly happy with chromie time being disabled from 50-59? No, of course not… but I don’t expect the solution to be perfect… It is a simple solution that solves the root of the problem and nothing more. The root of the problem is that once we hit level 50, we can’t go back to chromie time at all without making a new character. Allowing us to do chromie time again at level 60, but not from 50-59 solves that problem while not interfering with the reason why it is disabled at 50 in the first place.
- People who want current content rewards for old content are delusional if they think it will ever happen. The most that they can reasonably hope for is WQ gear… but the most probable thing blizzard would give would be simply base level 60 gear…
- They SHOULD open up all dungeons regardless of chromie time choices. That shouldn’t even be up for debate. 1-50 ALL dungeons up to SL should be que-able… 50-60 SL dungeons only, 60 w/chromie time active ALL dungeons should be que-able… That is how it SHOULD be, and I will not debate this. You can try, but there is litteraly nothing that you or anyone can say to change my mind on that.
Agreed. Sometimes you just want to keep a toon in a specific expansion.
Plus it would nice to level cap w/o having to trudge through content you dislike.
I’m currently playing a character locked at level 45 in Chromie Time progressing through the expansions. After a brief foray into SL and feeling lonely and beaten down by that expansion, I am in no rush to go back there.
Funny enough, this character I’m currently playing is one I had rerolled when Shadowlands basically blindsided me at 48 or so and I realized I wasn’t allowed to pick a new timeline. So I rerolled and locked exp at 45 just to be on the safe side, and I’m currently going through Burning Crusade. It’s been fun seeing the quests again and playing them all at a level that I don’t completely destroy, and it’s been fun playing in my own little separate world without geared level 60s out in the world to harass me or ruin my experience.
So with that said, I totally support other folks being able to do the same thing, and I agree with this post. Maybe if more folks shied away from the mess that is Shadowlands, it will encourage Blizzard to actually give people like us a game to play there. As it stands I do not feel at all welcome in Shadowlands.
I never understood it as that. That doesn’t even make sense. By what twisted logic would people have thought blizzard was going to allow people to level up to 60 in past content.
lots of delusional people running around and here we go -
they shouldn’t give anything
yup that was predictable and no they shouldn’t.
How does one level up at level 60?
Then perhaps they should make their new expansion one that people actively want to play in? Honestly, WoD was better than SL by far.
