Playing any class in 2007 is entirely different than in 2026. Hell, playing a warrior in Cata was a slog and awful in arena, so any warrior who earned an elite set / weapon / title in cata should be able to wear it as a badge of honour and distinction. That effort and dedication should not be cheapened by someone who came in when it was easier and wishes to claim the same badge of honour for half the time and effort.
people who got these mogs EARNED them so giving everyone access to these makes those accomplishments and hard work completely worthless. i can’t say i agree with that.

Sure. Playing a class before and after prepatch was wildly different too. Didnt stop people from bulldozing mythic the second it dropped and basically given free mythic mounts.
I can’t even knock it, my guild was the same way. We were struggling to get past the 2nd platform hump on Dimensius, the second the prepatch dropped, we were skipping entire phases and killed it the night prepatch dropped.

No. They have their parse. Their FoS (because we didnt get CE because they removed it knowing the difficulty was going to plummet) and their leaderboards.
If the same tier isn’t cheapened, something obtained 16 years ago sure isn’t.

The hardest part of it was the roster boss above 1700 which, thankfully, solo queue blitz solved.
Cant have constant babyragers yelling slurs at their teammates after one game goes a bit downhill and the group disbanding when you’re solo queing. I mean even today I had someone try to type slurs when they didnt realize we were the winning team (because they were too busy typing all game instead of playing) and we still won by a chill 400~ points. when they realized they won all they could do was type “oh” and leave. This was in 2700 mmr btw.
Nothing is cheapened. It was attained 16 years ago. They got it, and had it, for 16 years. I doubt many people wore it though. You picked a god awful looking set to use as an example.
Also, win trading and buying mmr has always existed for pvp. There were even entire ventrilos dedicated to it before discord became popular, and now discord servers have an entire pvp section for everything up to glad where you can literally pay someone to get you gladiator. This isnt a new thing. It’s always existed, for all the content.
Just now you can buy wow tokens instead of 3rd party gold or heavy HEAVY farming/boosting in other content, to get it.

I will be dammed if you all got it easier, Hitting 2400 today can be done with your eyes closed running solo pvp rated content. I was 12-13 years old shot calling Rated bgs with a bunch of grown men on skype. Go through the struggle and be rewarded. Game is way to easy today to earn old stuff that was beyond hard. Classes are 100x pruned from where they were. You dont presence/stance dance anymore. Less macros, less addons, less clutter. So no, Keep old content out of reach. Game is easy enjoy the easy content or stay fighting scripts and earning AoTC. Thank you i am ready for my dislikes from the community that wont see this ever being a thing <3 for every 1 is from someone who doesn’t have anything from back in the day
