Allies, why Galv?

Every game I’ve lost lately begins with Galv. Any non-horde propaganda reasons why Galv is being run as the current Allies strategy?

I smile when I see it, as Galv is right next to a chokepoint, tower and GY. A large part of the zerg to galv is obliterated and booted back north, and the chokepoint cuts down even more. Our base is even more easily defended by 5 players when your zerg is in shambles once they (if they) get there.

And then what? A turtle game where no one gets honour after DR kicks in. What a brilliant strategy.

I get plenty of honor, but more importantly I get more rep in the longer games. In case you didn’t notice, this past week has shown that going ballstowall honor grinding is a fools errand. I am happy as a pig in when long games happen.
