Allied Races

Honestly, can you just make it so anyone can play the allied races. Having them locked behind insane time-gated rep grinding from previous expansions, taking your time away from current content, is just not fun for anyone.

Another idea would be to lower the rep required from exalted to revered. That would drastically lower the time-gated rep grindfest

A week (less, by this point) isn’t an insane time gate. It’s go do some dailies and you’ll get them unlocked in a little bit.

They increased the rep gain for the Legion ones though, doesn’t take nearly as long now.

OP it’s not hard at all to finish your rep grind.

Just do your emissaries, and you’ll have it in 2-3 weeks tops.

Btw, what particular AR are you interested in playing/unlocking?

I disagree, you get about 100-150 rep per daily quest, and theres only between 4-6 wqs up in a zone that will give rep for the faction. For instance to get highmountain, you need exalted. You can only get rep from that one zone. Only 4-6 of the wqs actually give rep for them. Then it’s time gated. 150 sounds like a lot until you see you need thousands, and it’s time gated.

I agree for old DLC classes, the new ones really dont take too long to get by just playing current content… I do want to play older ones, but I dont have the quest space or time to do current content and old grinds like that.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Suramar questing is amazing. The lore is super great and I recommend savoring it. Treat it like something to do once you’ve done your raids/M+/w/e for the week.

I’m not a huge fan of removing unlockable content and just giving away everything. I enjoy the whole idea of seeing people walk around with stuff they had to work to earn.

Otherwise, everything becomes trivial.

I thought this was changed in a patch where you get more rep than that.

They are actually the only allied race i’ve unlocked.

With that mentality why not just sell them in the store? Just make sure they can only be bought using actual money and not by tokens. I mean it’s just saving time right, from having to grind?

How did you get this from Shadina’s post?

It’s an MMO, some things have to be grinds, right?

When gear progression has become nonexistent, and cosmetics are the only things people chase anymore, why would we put that in the cash shop?

From that statement. It’s not really what the person said but how it was said that reflects why micro-transactions even exist in the first place. They’ll point out that anyone can do it, it’s very easy, just takes some time. The breeding ground where micro-transactions or like Ubisoft likes to call them “time savers” flourishes.

Never give in, never accept something. At the end of the day we players play the game and our input actually matters.

How is a pet, mount or toy a time saver?

I’m with Tovi, how is me telling you to go play the game because it doesn’t take that long some kind of hint at Micro-transactions? That means “go play the game and go get it done because it doesn’t take that long”.

The goal isnt to have fun, it’s to maximize engagement

Make sure you do the Legion follower mission quests for rep tokens

I prefer they lock the racials (or something), let players play the races (WITHOUT requirement) and earn exalted to unlock racials.

We need races, not allied races locked behind rep!
We will soon have more allied races than selectable races.

How about this:

We keep the grind, and say no to micro-transactions. Everything with Allied Races stays the same, and like with many other cosmetic rewards, people will continue to be required to grind. Simple.
