I’m going to be given a hard time for this but I’ll just include an FAQ at the end.
San’layn. Yes, there’s talk of making them blood elf customization which is most likely, but I prefer an allied race above all.
Below are just ideas. Nothing is canon.
I would modify a Thalassian elf model in this instance to be more lean and lithe, skinnier faces, more pronounced cheekbones without going overboard. I would also give lady elves defined muscular, as these elves are ferocious and brutal. They’ll rip the enemy to shreds and would have immense magical strength to do so, therefore reflecting this at least physically as well would be lovely.
They would have bat-like ears and torn ear options. Crimson, amber, and jet black eye options. Adjustable claws. Different types of fangs. Scarring options. Unobtrusive Gothic jewelry if we must have that. Blood rune tattoos. Facial variations, from beautiful to nosferatu like venthyr. Bloodspatter options on the face and hair.
Given full reign? Wings. They’d have wings. They could use them as a racial mount. No wings would mean a cloud of bats mount.
Lore: Kael’thas returns as a Blood King to redeem himself truly. He leads the remainder of the San’layn, who were hiding out with the missing Blood princes. They failed to join the Horde in BfA, but now that Kael has returned, they are given another chance. They need to prove themselves, and player character needs to build rep with them by helping them to this. They are inevitably a key factor into defeating much of the out of control scourge which earns them a spot in the Horde. They agree to only feed from enemies, never others on the Horde without permission. Given there’s plenty of enemies onthe regular, this isn’t a problem.
Curse: Origin is Revendreth, spread by the Dreadlords. This becomes a huge issue as they continue to do it and instances like the vampirates keep popping up all over Azeroth. It’s up to the San’layn to take care of this issue as they are the most educated on the subject.
FAQ
This is another elf. No more elves.
Indeed, I’ve been told this for three years. To that I say: More elves. Vampire elves on the Horde.
They ate forsaken.
Indeed. Those were Dreven’s forces. The San’layn aren’t a hive mind. I’m sure we can get them to not do so if they’re given a home and purpose like I said before. Besides. Who says Dreven wasn’t ordered to do this as a last resort to get the body?
They should be customization.
Sure. I’m sure many believe that, and that’d be fine. But I prefer them as an allied race.
They’re only evil.
See DK, DH, Forsaken, list goes on. They have free will, therefore they’re capable of morality like death knights.
Why are you obsessed with vampires you twilight freak?
I hate Twilight. I do however love Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate and the Castlevania series on Netflix.
