Allied Race Idea: Arakkoa šŸ¦

Hey nice work, If enough people would like to play them, then cool make them playable, I wouldnā€™t be interested in them though.

Fair enough; and thanks.

You and me both. I am tired of being stuck as a boomkin druid to look like one of them.

Hereā€™s my main concern about that idea.

The Forsaken models as they are have next to none of the same animations as the Cursed Arakkoa. Because of this, a lot of creative liberties will have to be taken. Liberties that I feel the dev teams do not have.

If the arakkoas really came to Azeroth, where could they live?
Where in Azeroth would they find a climate and atmosphere that pleased them as much as that in Arak?

Feralas? :bird:

Arrakoa for Alliance
Ogre for Horde

Thereā€™s actually a few places they could go.

Feralas, Stonetalon Mountains, Westfall, Hyjal, the remains of Teldrassil even.

They have places they can choose to go and arenā€™t really limited by climates similar to Arak.

Yeah, thatā€™s an old combo people asked for right there. XD

I think even Goldshire and nearby areas, like the Westfall you mentioned, could be good choices! Arakkoas also seem to like mountainous areas, like those near Stormwind, with a wide sky and surrounding forests!

Maybe Ashenvale! :bird:

Youā€™re pretty much on the right track as we find out in the Chronicles books that the Spires of Arak actually USED to be a lush forest before the Primordials started to attack.

The Apexis, the original Arakkoa civilization, had to pretty much burn all the greenery in Arak in order to keep them out; turning it into the spire-filled savanna that we see in WoD.

So perhaps Elwynn Forest and some of the Night Elf controlled areas would be more to their liking in the end?

NO~! Keep our birdie friends away from that cursed place!

Haha I feel you, but I feel like itā€™ll be inevitable that they will be alliance.

As for their new home I think it should be somewhere sunny so I agree probably Elwynn. or in the side of the mountains around elwynn. But I feel like they will accept Aviana as their new deity since sheā€™s the mother of all birds. I would like to see a few of them around her shrine in Hyjal and hopefully learn druidry. I mean i was being pelted by solar wrath from an arakkoa yesterday so why not. Just druid everythingā€¦ I love druids.

I do not care if they go Alliance or not; I do not care where they make their home ā€“ I just do not want their innocence taken from them like mine was. Q.Q

Pffft! You must have been involved with Moonguard at one point, then.

Slight correction; sheā€™s the mother of all Azerothian birds. The Arakkoa will recognize her as A deity, but more than likely will not fully recognize her as THEIR deity. That title still belongs to the deceased Rukhmar and the (Still very much alive) AU Anzu.

Just checking back in and wow that escalated quickly.

Yes, it did, my friendā€¦

Yes, it didā€¦

Edit: Also, 8.2.5 is pretty much a bust story-wise.

I might have went overboard, and I am sorry if I did.

I just do not want Arakkoa anywhere NEAR Goldshire.

Nor do I, but if they come into the game, theyā€™re bound to find their way thereā€¦ T^T :bird:

Either way, looks like Nā€™Zoth actually IS the final boss of BfA. If what the people on the Vulpera megathread are saying is true, then this is a really good shot for anyone and everyone to join in before the next expansion.

Vote for the Arakkoa, people!

World of Warcraft has already gone to the birds ā€“ may as well make it official!

Iā€™m voting for the Fish People myself.
