Alliance yet to fill hall of fame, no faction imbalance at all

And don’t tell anybody but I really wanna play a Kul’Tiras.

I’d ask why you don’t but it’s probably because the Alliance might have gotten a stalemate in the 4th war but it was defeated in the meta game.

Because all my friends and stuff is on Horde side. I wont be able to send myself gold or bags or mats from my main. I won’t be able to run dungeons with my guild. I want to play a Draenei but I don’t want to start over entirely from scratch to do it.

Maybe if Blizzard made raids worth completing then the Alliance might start completing them.

This might not be a popular suggestion but I’d propose one of these options:

  1. Allow players to pick a faction, similar to how Pandaren work, when they create their toon. Allowing all races on either side would entice players like me that moved to Horde but still like the Alliance… granted it might not be enough.
  2. Allow players to opt into a neutral / mercenary mode that allows interaction (quests, queueing, etc) with the other faction. It would be harder to work your rep up but OMG could this be fun.
  3. Dissolve factions - but keep battlegrounds and such for those that have the undying hatred (or whatever they’d like to call it) - but also allow mercenary mode from both sides. We end up fighting the big evil “together” at the end of every expansion anyway.

Number 1 is just as likely to lose you alliance players as gain them. Number 2 doesn’t sound like it would do anything. Number 3 works but I don’t see it being implemented any time soon

I heard they filled it a few months ago otherwise x-server mythic raiding wouldn’t have been a thing for EP and I know for a fact we pulled some people from another server during za’qul when we did it

How do they fix faction imbalance without tilting the scale so much that everyone goes Alliance and just puts the imbalance on a different side and without making people complain?

They don’t. Alliance just want to be the faction that completes the hall of fame first, even though it doesn’t matter.

First, this…

…gets immediately corrected…

…and then comes the massive goalpost move:

Well played Ralphie boy…well played.

Why not just open up cross server guilds and raiding for the underrepresented faction a few weeks earlier, and/or implement or keep racials in wpvp and was but disable them in raid or give a earnable replacement racial like replacing 1% crit with say 5% haste, versatility, leech, crit, etc from the new covenants or just mirror asymmetrical game design and say let people choose their racials. Maybe even after exalted with xyz faction.

You could have stopped right there and nailed it.

but we won on all fronts and we didn’t die important characters that is really important.

This is Alince BIAS.

The population is irrelevant, the time in camera is irrelevant, the WPVP is irrelevant, the important thing is who wins.

don’t worry maybe in the future in about two or four years the thing will be fixed

you have to have faith, be positive and trust blizz.

The factions should just end at this point. Cross play would solve a lot of issues because the Alliance who want to raid hardcore will have more opportunities.

Side note: I tried to start leveling my Alliance to Heroic raid this expansion after someone blamed me and people like me (who play Horde because that’s where they’ve been for 13 years playing with friends) for the faction imbalance. And the sheer amount of whining and negativity drove me right away. I can’t sit around and constantly hear the “Oh woe is me, the world is out to get me, the universe hates me, I don’t even want to try this key even though I joined the dungeon to jump into it” without wanting to just leave.

It began as a Blizzard problem for sure, but the main issue is how few people Alliance side actually care about their performance. Korrak’s was a great example; my Alliance always lost unless the bg consisted of more Horde main Alliance alts, at which point instead of begging for everyone to AFK so it could go faster, we steam rolled the Horde.

It’s just overall frustrating to bear witness to, and is why I stopped putting effort into my Alliance alt. If no one else around me is willing to try, then why should I?

The Alliance as players have already broken, this is how the natural order of things should be.

This is how Blizz wants it.

That is why they do not want to fix it. This is the state in which they want the factions to be.

I disagree with that mindset. And that right there is exactly why nothing will change for the Alliance. Short of Blizzard terminating Horde racials so only Alliance have any, I doubt the blue side will be happy with anything they do.

wrong game for faction balance.

For years Blizz struggled to break the hegemony of the Alliance now that they succeeded, they would not renounce this.

The Alliance exists so that the horde can hit someone and so that their characters are neutral heroes.

Blizzard would be happier if the Alliance only disappears as a concept and becomes only characters.

I can see there’s really no point in discussion with someone who has thrown in the towel.

Hope you have a wonderful Patch day, friend. Find some joy in a game you pay monthly for.

I’m fine blue, thanks.

i don’t intend to be a hypocrite like most horde leaders are
