Alliance writing in BFA is a joke

This makes so much more sense since everything post cata has basically been “Wtf table flip” worthy.

Yep, hard to replace the true Lich King and his servants. It’s clear that the writers of the Lich king and that whole xpac do not in fact work there any longer.

Darn you Deathwing!!! You really did leave Azeroth in shambles!

I’m gussing the writers tried to take him out in grey gear and they all got burnt to a crisp. It’s the only reasonable answer as to why the writing has been so mediocre for what? 6 years??? Although, I would say that legion wasn’t terrible, definitely better than WoD and Cata put together.

Everyone’s writing is a joke. The entire storyline of this expansion is pathetic.

This is unfortunately incredibly accurate.

As far as Jaina goes I swear they just flip a coin with each new story beat to decide whether she likes or hates the Horde at that moment.

Blizzard retconned it. Now it’s just some Silver Covenant opportunists that kill resisters.

I’m pretty sure Jaina quit Dalaran after Theramore happened.

No, you guys play spin the bottle. You really need to stop letting people put weights on the bottle.

I’ll one up you and say we play Russian Roulette but the gun is fully loaded. I guess Thrall didn’t catch the memo that you only put one bullet in it before handing it off to Garrosh.

Actually, she joined the Kirin Tor after Theramore happened.
And she left during the Legion invasion a few years later.

I stop following BFA’s story been a while, bad writing at it’s finest. Oh well, at least BFA’s music is good :rolf:

Sounds like a wonderful idea!

The funny thing is, they do seem to have quality writers on staff.

They’re just all focused on making the side stories rather than the main storyline.

She’s always liked Thrall and Baine. Baine especially due to activities that take place (SHOCK) in the books instead of in-game, unfortunately. Especially if you do the Jaina questchain on Alliance side, she resolves a lot of her personal issues and lingering guilt.

I would have liked to see her be a little more stern with Thrall, but the guy did straight up admit and apologize he screwed up.

Shes been slowly turning around, and that is the least amount of “joke writing”…i mean bfa is MoP 2.O

I roll my eyes everytime people complain about WoW’s lore.

I’m guessing no one was here when there was a massive 700+ post thread in Wrath discussing how terribly executed ICC and Arthas was during the time?

Either way, the term “Lol Lore” was here before BC was even released when Blizzard decided to retcon demons into the Alliance.

Just accept wow for what it is and enjoy the good moments when they come by. I’ve found fun things in every expansion to keep myself entertained, just let it play it’s course. It’s a goofy video game after all.

Playing WC3 as an adult made me realize how goofy that all was too. You mean to tell me Tyrande Shadowmelds two feet away from Archimonde and he falls for it? LOL, some Villian.

Haha this thread is gold haha

Love it, keep it going!

To be fair, she was trying to remain neutral and keep everyone playing nice with each other until the Horde used the Sunreavers to steal a weapon of mass destruction that was under her protection.

Jaina’s story is pretty much:

  • Wants peace
  • Her father wants war, she lets the Horde kill him
  • Still wants peace
  • Is betrayed by a Sunreaver, gets her city destroyed by a WMD and loses her mind
  • Tries to destroy Orgrimmar, but is talked out of it and repents her almost murderous rage
  • Join the Kirin Tor and strive for peace again.
  • Is betrayed again by Sunreavers, who steal another WMD under her care
  • Gets really mad, orders the Sunreavers to leave, send them to prison when refused, rejoins the Alliance
  • Tries to talks Varian into dismantling the Horde after Orgrimmar, Varian does not comply
  • Tries to keep the Horde away from Dalaran, until outvoted by the Council
  • Rage quits the Kirin Tor and goes slay demons alone to vent off
  • Finally returns home and faces all her demons, which include the guilt of abandoning her father to die, having Theramore destroyed and her actions against the Sunreavers.
  • Is helped by Baine, making her remember that peace may still be possible
  • Works alongside Horde members to save Baine
  • Whatever the future holds (I wouldn’t be surprised if she does not survive this expansion…)

It’s funny how the Horde blames Jaina for being an insane bat after everything they did to her

You can hate a group as a whole but like individual parts of the group. Foreign concept I guess.

it’s better than horde cycle of betrayal.

Atleast you know that alliance will always be same.

You could summarize her story as a roller coaster. Lots of ups and downs and its a surprise she hasn’t fallen off the ride by now.
