Alliance will quit pvp

You should write fairytales for kids.

I played on Grobb too. Horde over ran us in p2 and p4. Its really no different. You knew what you were getting into.

Now is the perfect time to reroll. You could have a character in pre-bis in 2 weeks. Go to PvE and all your concerns are alleviated.

MMOs take a lot of time to play. You dont roll PvP if you dont have time to play.

Not that way, spending more time on not playing

Not for Phase 4 SOD, no. Not for Phase 3 either.

I expected PVP, and I have no issues with paying my PVP tax. The issue is when that tax turns into a massive waste of time.

Turning PVE hubs into PVP warzones isnā€™t good. STV being something you can opt-out of is legitimately good. Literally any form of anto-griefing in BRM would be welcomed, just a clone of the STV immunity aura would be great.

Yes it is. SS / TM sound familiar? Those are PvE hubs that have always been warzones. Thats what PvPā€™ers want. PvP happens. Players are savage and you just were not ready. You dont belong on a PvP server. You have to know that players will camp and do the most.

You can get +5 to axe skills and bows now, thatā€™s 2 horde racials

Tarren Mill / South Shore is VERY different from BRM. Thereā€™s no choke points and itā€™s generally easy to avoid the massive PVP areas if you want to ā€“ this is not the case in BRM, and the entire zone is effectively a series of choke points.

Modern players will optimize, Iā€™m literally typing this post as yet another 6min AV goes by.

This is why I want to transfer off CS. My friends played on a PVP server, and I wanted to play with my friends. They no longer want to play on a PVP server.

I like SOD. I do not want to quit. I do not want to restart all my progress. SOD is unfriendly to alts. None of us want to re-roll due to all the progress we will lose. Some of us have 5+ toons at lvl50+.

We will simply play a different game when we lose too many players. Weā€™ve lost half by virtue of P3->P4, and 2 have quit in P4.

Blizzard wonā€™t me leave this miserable PVP experience with my current toons.

I just wanna know who the moron on the team is who greenlit xfers off of servers. The whole point of pvp servers in SoD was forced population balance.

That is the only way it works without players quitting. You dont have football games with 200 vs 10 for a reason.

Not only that, but special attention to the faction locked classes in terms of balance is needed. What did we get? Shamans absolutely busted for months without a nerf. People see that and reroll. They quit. Or they take up on the free offer to xfer.

PvP servers as they are in wow classic are not sustainable.

Blocking the exit just means thereā€™s a cost to leaving the server, not a prevention of rerolling else where.

They shouldā€™ve just done War Modeā€¦

No one has been full MM since P3 bud. Thanks for proving you know nothing about P4 Hunters.

Alliance need to organize and tackle the Horde menace that currently lives inside Blackrock Mountain! Itā€™s just like Mount Doom and Mordor in Lord of the Rings. A last alliance of Men, Dwarves, and Elves needs to be assembled to remove the dark forces from Azeroth once and for all (instead of complaining about it in general chat all day every day )!

Itā€™s easy to say from horde, when nothing is against You.

Literally the easiest solution the Devs have to actually make PVP fair for all is to nerf Shamans a bit more for PvP (not overkill) and buff them in PvE so they actually make sense as a class. Buff the other classes that are struggling in PvP like mages and ferals. Once shaman isnā€™t so wildly OP in PvP I would imagine weā€™ll see a difference in win-rates for BGs and participation in WPvP.

A LOT of the re-rolls to horde literally were people making Shamans. I see them more in the open world than literally any other class.

Easiest is just to reroll on a PvE server. You are taking the whole point of having a PvP server away.

PvP is Player vs Player and you cant get around that and you have a choice when creating a char to choose if you want to be on a PvE server or a PvP server with the risk of being ganked, farmed, camped griefed. You signed under that when you signed opp for a PvP server.

The main issue with Alliance on CS is that they mainly joined the server because of all the famous streamers choose to play alliance on that spesific server. Now they have all quit playing and so have their followers and you feel left behind.

Reroll and dont destroy PvP servers just because it is not for you, please!

Youā€™re blaming the current BRM ganking issue where 200+ horde just kill any alli player trying to get into BRD over and over again on shamans being too strong???

Horde has significantly better PvP racials. So more players that like to PvP roll horde. Itā€™s that simple.

Shamans arenā€™t even the best PvP class in the game right now.

As I said above, the PvP servers will be fine if they just tune shamans down a bit. Thatā€™s literally 100% of the problem. People will stop re-rolling horde when the FOTM class canā€™t 1v4 easily anymore.

As it turns out, the only population balance that matters is the sweaty and active population. And even that barely matters because the only variable at play is which 10:1 ratioed layer you get on and what side of that youā€™re on. Itā€™s either shooting fish in a barrel, or youā€™re the fish. No pvp in that. Just dysfunctional servers. SoD and PvP servers donā€™t mix.

Yes. I am. There is a population balance deficiency literally based on FOTM for classes that can 1v4 on PvP servers. Horde would not be as strong as they are, and a lot of people wouldnā€™t be horde if they didnā€™t have an artificial advantage in PvP. Racials are one part of it, but not the whole or even the majority. We saw this in P1 when Alliance was winning WPvP in Ashenvale before Shamans got buffed. Racials didnā€™t make up for the lack of difference. One class being so out of whack in PvP content did. Lots of PvPā€™rs re-rolled to that class/faction, and it made a world of difference. People are always going to take the path of least resistance. If Horde is dominating WPVP on PvP servers because of a handful of issues that could easily be resolved then naturally people are going to re-roll to those classes/factions because they want to PvP AND not have their time wasted while trying to do PvE content.

Also, Iā€™d like to clarify, I play on a PvP server. I like PvP servers. I can deal just fine with the odds - even if they are annoying. None of what I said takes away from the truth that a simple balance pass would resolve a lot of this. Will population go down because they input some well deserved nerfs in PvP situations? Yea, probably. At the same time population might go back up because more people wonā€™t feel like their time is being wasted. You gotta remember this is a 20+ year old game, and the average player is grown and in a lot of cases has a family. A lot of people will just quit rather than re-roll. This 100% falls on the devs to do the right thing and adjust classes for PvP as well. The engine for SoD is built off the 2016 Legion engine. They can absolutely put PvP modifiers in the game. The other option is they do the same thing they did for STV and make an opt-out feature for the event.

With all that said, Iā€™d imagine once everyone is 60 and has their fire-resist gear, the eruption PvP event will go down significantly in population.
