You forgot we also had a bigger and stronger military. But somehow the horde is our equal because?
Because they destroy us at PvP
Funny story about that. Everytime I fought horde in pvp, when alliance and Horde are even with numbers, horde normally lose. Only time alliance loses is in bg’s (cause we spread out too thin) or when we are outnumbered.
I don’t hate the horde. The narrative is created for a false-hate decoy. We need to get rid of Factions. The time is takes to Que up for things, the needless hatred, the lore-based racisms. It all needs to be fixed.
Orc smash!
This. Even the PvP aspect of the game can be under one faction. Other games have PvP as battle training in the story because they have no factions.
I feel pity for the Horde more than hate.
I also feel pity for the Alliance.
I don’t hate either side as I play both actively. I have also skipped every cutscene and quest text since vanilla so I don’t even know what’s going on most of the time aside from who the boss of the current raid tier.
I dont hate horde in fact i have met quite a few good helping hordes while on low lvl alts .
I don’t hate the horde as an entity, but . . .
This character probably gives forsaken somewhat of a pass being another former servant of the lich king.
No orc or tauren ever called me, uh, anything bad.
Blood elves are welcome to come back whenever they’re ready.
Vulpera are literally harmless whatever their affiliation. It’d be like getting mad at someone’s tiny dog.
Goblins blew up Theramore though, so if I was going to dislike anyone . . . what am I saying I still find their women adorable.
So no horde, I don’t hate you. Occasionally I even play you. Both factions have their pros and cons, lately I’ve been on a human kick but before that it was blood elves and trolls, what can I say humans got the most love with face/hair type customization and I’m taking advantage of it. That and I hate rep so a racial that buffs rep might literally be the most important one for me.
There are only two people who are/were horde I hate. That is Garrosh and Gallywix. I am willing to work with everyone else including Sylvanas though I don’t like her much.
I agree. I play GuildWars and their pvp is fine considering I came from WoW for years so the factionless aspect definitely helps out a lot. Biggest detractor I had from focusing on Horde were the wait times. It doesn’t really make the game fun waiting around
The original writers that carried over from WCIII understood.
The modern writers took one look at zombies and Orcs and “monsters” and completely disregarded the existing narrative and just wrote them as horribly as any surface-level glance would have one assume.
OOCly? I don’t.
I have a couple RP characters who are wary/mistrustful of the Horde. One (a draenei) had a horribly traumatic experience in Stranglethorn that reinforced what she’d heard about the Horde, and she’s been skittish about them ever since. Another is bitter about the Horde’s actions against the forest and night elves.
HEY…!!! do not quench the flames of war, because if it were not for that, this game would never have existed.
And in lore it was the reason why both factions ended up saving Azeroth by fate of ending up in a fight with a true enemy.
Do not come looking for the reason for the hatred of that faction to reach a peace agreement that only in the end will weaken the sole defense of the planet, as long as that flame lives, Azeroth will be safe from any threat far from this world.
Although the only problem is the conflict between each faction, and it will only end until one of them disappears.
Wasn’t each faction hating the other literally the game’s Raison D’Etre?
Surely you will do that in Molten Core, you look more like a Darkiron dwarf than a LotR dwarf.
And I imagine the cataclysm that you will do after destroying the lava of Black Rock Mountain and another war of the 3 dwarf kingdoms.
You are ANARCHY…
Duality. They get to defense themselves and are seen as the oppressed overcoming adversity.
Alliance defends ourselves and we’re all war crimes and racists or whatever.
