Let’s be honest here, is there even a point to roll alliance on a pvp server? Every single server you will be outnumbered and camped besides Heartseeker which is boring and extremely alliance sided. Even Grobbulus the most balanced server is a gank fest for alliance
No. Go away.
I rolled because I wanted a disadvantage and to win fights even without racials. The problem however is it seems the majority of Alliance players don’t even like to PVP to being with and the majority of players picking horde wanted the racial ability edge in pvp. Racial abilities alone does not determine outcomes in battles but when it comes to PVP being Alliance there are too many that would rather sit there and take the beatings to get where they want to go.
alliance pvers like myself love the pve atmosphere, it fosters cooperation instead of competition between the factions. I’ve had countless experiences where I’ve helped horde and they’ve helped me.
Roll PVE if you are that kind of player.
Horde need blood elves to attract the lover-not-fighter PvE types and even things out.
Good points almost all around except for the racials part. A Orc resisting a 5 point kidney shot just either lived and won the battle thanks to that or dragged it out far longer than it would have otherwise. WOTF against Alliance Priests is also pretty OP, even locks with deathcoil as a back up still have a hard time against undead.
I suppose Dwarves sort of come close to that against Rogues with stone form.
It is true that these racials are more effective in 1v1 situations rather than a many vs many. Most of the time in those situations (larger in scale) is determined by who has the most sapper charges and aoe not racials. This is what I mean when it comes to the massive raid pvp in that it doesn’t determine outcomes.
Ummm… no? https [: // ] cdn.discordapp [dot] com/attachments/276113163832000514/648031779487481856/unknown.png
I would say it isn’t the racials themselves that give horde the advantage but the players those racials inherently attract horde gets the try hard pvpers
What about Kurinnaxx or Netherwind, which also appear to be very balanced?
And, what about the idea of grouping up and forming parties?
Other thoughts include:
- grind/quest in areas where there are not massive hordes of the opposite faction.
- dungeon grind
- other
I was in Lakeshire the other day, and a group of 4 or 5 higher level (skulls to me) Horde rode through. A gnome rogue exclaimed, “They have killed the quest NPC. This game isn’t playable anymore.”
Naturally, I attacked the Horde to stand up for this gnome rogue of similar level to myself at the time, but was unable to do much other than die swiftly.
I released, and by the time I was back to my body, the Horde were gone, and the NPCs had respawned. Things were back to normal, and quests could continue.
Most alliance don’t think like that and will take multiple deaths instead of standing up for themselves
I’ve recently rerolled from the Horde.
I can tell
I play on Grobbulus. Phase 1 Alliance side had weekly raids on horde major cities, most of the time more. They camped BRM and FPs. Phase 2 came out and the Horde answered with a vengeance, but the Alliance are still healthy and still do a ton of PvP and camping, so i’m not sure what you’re talking about.
Get good, I’m alliance on faerlina and it isn’t that bad, sure we get camped but so does the horde. If you don’t want to pvp roll pve
Title Correction: Bad PvPers should stay on PvE.
OP: hurr
That explains why you’re on pagle
Yes ma’am, I re-rolled on a PvP server though. You’re a sharp one.
Unfortunately, you’re kind of right. The Horde racials are really damn good, but way too many people rolled Horde, when they otherwise would’ve preferred Alliance, just because of those racials.
If forced PvP, including “one person gets camped for a million years by a gank squad of eleventy zillion,” is a positive for you, yes.
If not, no.
This is a conclusion that should jump out at anyone who reads the description of the difference in realm mechanics.
But for some reason, the majority of the playerbase seems to be, instead, reading, “PvP: Choose this realm unless you have a tiny e-peen, CAREBEAR.” ![]()
