Alliance Shadows Rising preview

Thanks, I was having some trouble finding that.

Though those quotes as a whole seems to indicate raw power of the Night Elves (the emphasis of Malfurion’s strength as the main example) rather than troop numbers.

I’ll have to make some time to watch the interview laters.

That quote annoyed me because I have a coworker who ends almost every line with “right?”

Those verbal tics, right?

I fail to see how they will justify the moraly grey factions, as the fights are not tipicaly as armys fighting armys , here was the horde army killing civilians most of them unarmed, and burning them alive without a way to save themselves, and most of the horde( not the players) was ok with that ,and using the plague of undead to waste the land to get things far worse , and then raising them as undead and robbing of them the free will and put them to work for the killers and procede to kill your own people , making the whole plot of the free will of the forsaken a complete lie. And the other races of the horde that also could say something as the war was going, do nothing , the same happen to the kultirans in brennadan when the Horde get to the civilians and star to kill them just because , the more shoking things was the child crying asking his mother to wake up because he was terrified but his mother was impale to a wall .

So far, my belief is that the Alliance Champion never really -joined- in the Darkshore sieges. They aided in her transformation but the whole take over can easily ignore player characters as just the Night Warrior influence drove the victory. (With the Forsaken Forces stretched so thin.)

Tyrande withdraws her forces because Anduin never actually pledged any forces to aid in her cause. Genn acknowledges that he has to pay back the Kaldorei for their kindness in bringing some peace to the curse of the Worgen. But its here that Tyrande absolutely refuses to parley with the Horde, or anyone who considers peace with her people’s murderers.

I also remember my old WC3 faction we had naga and draenei. the times change

Complete headcanon everything in the game is canon unless blizzard says otherwise and they havent

Considering how inconsequential the Alliance heroes seem to be in WoW overall… My headcanon tends to fall with how the game presents them.

Nonsense, the Alliance is a crucial source of neutral characters and people who can be poached by the Forsaken.

lol what, are you serious, you are saying that the alliance PC doenst exist lol hahahahahah

Sorry honey, but your boy nate was getting really salty that you couldnt kill me.

no, he says thats only ONE Alliance PC hero lorewise exist…not XX Millions

I really hope we get to see the Alliance go through what the Horde went through. Sick the alliance having so much harmony between their leaders. Need Tyrande to just question why she is listening to some teenager when she is 10,000 years old.

Can’t wait to read this novel.

well i wont argue against that, the story does play it like theres just two heroes a horde and a alliance one

Man people on this forum like to state things which are either objectively wrong or utterly baseless.

I still love the fact that so many Alliance players are totally convinced that some how if they kept fighting they could just make the horde roll over dead or bow down to whatever demands the Alliance has. Even Varian didn’t believe that and he was in a stronger position that Anduin was.

How much of that is the result of a well crafted story, versus Blizzard needing to enforce the status quo?

As a Night Elf I totally went head on with the War at Kalimdor. And also Anduin didn’t send me there as he has no authority over me. Tyrande asked for my help and I of course accepted her commands.

I’m still waiting for division within the Alliance so I can side with Tyrande but the only fear is that we get the same treatment Sylvanas’ Loyalist got because that was a complete joke to her fans and that group of the playerbase.

I may hate Sylvanas but I felt bad for those players who really wanted to side with her only to still be forced to do the opposite.

Guys… you can’t get to Hyjal without going through Ashenvale first.

The fast track to the end would have been pressing the assault after Zandalar. The moron stayed his hand. Now yes there is the whole Azshara issue but as far as the war goes, it would have been over.

It’s good to see Anduin facing consequences for his actions. He has been far more concerned for the horde than the alliance and continually neglects his allies in pursuit of that goal, even to the point he didn’t want to win the war in 8.1 and had the army commit a costly retreat. He’s been acting more like an idealist while exploiting and and merely using the people under him instead of acting like a leader for his people.

Maybe he will start becoming an actual leader of the alliance, or maybe the night elves will just be evil now because Anduin is just the moralistic mouthpiece for the developers.

Edit: I also find the terminology interesting it says:

Fled is pretty specific, they didn’t just go there, they fled there. I wonder why it was worded that way.

For however long that lasts before Sylvanas baits the Alliance over Nazjatar all the same. Besides, forces that are hard pressed tend to fight with more ferocity, as the War of Thorns showed.

Maybe the Alliance gets some major gains from such pragmatic action as hitting the Horde while they’re down. In so doing, you make more of the Horde unlikely to support Saurfang’s coup, and you add more casualties to the war which was always Sylvanas’ goal for the war come Shadowlands.

But ultimately, if the Azshara event plays out just as it did normally, the advantage gets lost real quick and now everyone’s on even footing and even more ticked at one another.

Nah, in hindsight of all events taken into consideration against a possible alternate timeline where the Alliance goes full Reaper ult, I’d say that Jaina and Anduin actually made the right call.

Bring on the Infinite Dragonflight expac! We need to see more “what ifs” about WoW. It is the only way to end some of these debates.
