You don’t seem very… in the spirit of role play. This is probably why you’re not finding any of it.
I mean I don’t disagree that it’s less than in the (somewhat distant) past. The RP community didn’t consolidate here because it was an active choice, it happened because the community across all realms was shrinking and this was the most active one to jump ship to.
But Stormwind RP has always been the default thing. Group Finder postings have always been… questionable to begin with though. Might be a me thing but I always considered that corner of RP to be a completely separate thing.
Despite the stereotype, most of us aren’t into your ultra depraved ERP scenarios.
Yep, you sure were a WrA player alright.
MG Alliance RP is still very alive and well. Stormwind is still the primary hub for it, but you’ll find people all over. Pick up TRP3 and use the scan feature. Lately, there’s been plenty of activity in Hallowfall. There’s weekly events there all the time.
Also, just an FYI, most of the WrA crowd migrated to MG once people realized that literally all of the RP communities are the exact same. You’ll find most of the communities homogenized. Few folk really make a big deal of server these days insofar as RP goes.
Good answer
Right, I didn’t mean to imply “it wasn’t this way before but now it is.” That was a bad choice of wording on my part.
So are all paladins.
Moonguard does have a weird scene usually at like goldshire, but just walking through the cities and such you may find them there and I’m not sure of the horde RP server.
It’s like complaining “Christmas aint the same” when nothing really changed. You can still get in the mood, play Christmas songs, and be merry. Nobody’s stopping you from just getting out there and role playing all day and night! Forget what others are doing around you. You can’t control other people anyway. Do what you want and be happy with your own life
I’m beginning to see that. Just saddens me that Elwynn forest’s hub is lost for Tavern RP. But, I am checking out Moon Guard now, just need to get out of the Gnome Zone and go investigate. If it works out, I’ll just buy a boost.
Role players don’t care about your Level
They genuinely don’t.
Also, I love that you named your character on Llane of all servers. We appreciate your lore compliance.
Hey! Thanks
I’m not so worried about them, but more for my own sake of mogging. There is a lot of stuff to mog that does not appear until high levels, and would also love to participate in current content runs should I find that active guild.
FWIW, it was dead on WRA since about Cata as well. CRZ effectively made all RP Server’s have MG’s Goldshire so any server that had a healthy RP Hub there lost it over the course of that. Nothing to revive once they stopped doing that with CRZ because everyone had switched to avoiding the area.
Good to know. I appreciate the genuine conversation and advice.
RP ain’t dead. People are just more focused on obtaining items and upgrades in the world, rather than standing around talking. Because in all honesty, role playing does really come down to that… socializing
I was specifically talking about Goldshire as an RP Hub on non-MG Servers, not RP in general.
I knew what you meant. No worries.
The best role players do it on the go, during adventures, battlegrounds, dungeons, raids… even if nobody else participates… they do it, and it makes them feel more into their character
