Alliance isn't getting Sethrak

As much as I would be cool about getting access to the Sethraks Cobra Kai Karate dojos, a new gnome is even better!

Mechagnomes!

...

They could already do all that in beta, but when the Vulperans were datamined, Blizzard reverted them back to when they couldn't to try to hide their surprise, and has been very, VERY tight lipped about future allied races ever since.

Dont they have a Heart of Azeroth animation?

yes.

I still don't get where people got the idea of Alliance sethrak from.

Hope that the Alliance gets something good at all from BFA?

Could be a story animation to be fair

I'll be heart broken if we dont get sethrak. But if we actually get gnome reskins while horde get vulpera I think I'd be so mad I'd quit. And no it's not about not getting what I want it's just that the bias would be so undeniable at that point I'd feel cheated every time I played alliance. The alliance deserve something cool and unique too, not frigging gnome reskins.

Eh better luck next AR roll

Another upgrade race I think mecha gnomes
It never made sense to begin with, they barely interact with the alliance at all and story wise it's the horde that aids the sethrak and vulpera against the faithless.

Sethrak would litterally have to pull a nightbourne at this point to become playable, but even if they did it still wouldn't make sense for them to go to alliance.

They have no alliance connection and with talanji leading the zandalari she would be very cordial with them and open to new experiences and allegiances.
At this point?
It's the beginning of the expansion.

Because there's a lot of evidence pointing towards the Horde getting Vulpera, and people thought "surely Blizzard wouldn't add a brand-new, unique-model race to one faction and a reskin to the other?" Joke's on us, apparently.

we don't know if mecha gnomes will be reskins yet, probably have completely unique animations and what not.
Alliance should absolutely get Vrykul. I mean they are the ancestral race of Azeroth’s Humans, and they look awesome - both males and females.
Win/win

can we -please- get something that isn't another flavor of human first?

So far the next allied races is looking like mecha gnomes for alliance, sanlayn for the horde.

Vulpera* i'm afraid the Sanlayn betrayed the horde at the last moment during the Alliance Campaign, and their leader was killed during the end of the last chapter of the patch too.

The Horde betrays itself all the time.

I guess.
Or we could go 'full on Alliance theme' and get Centaurs - half human, half horse.
I mean, that just screams Alliance to me. We love our horses
The main problems with Sethrak is that their race lacks sexual dimorphism (not explicitly required to be playable but it would buck a big trend), and their complete lack of emote expressiveness in their faces.

While they are cool looking, everything about them suggest NPC race to me. They would need some pretty serious facial reworking like the nightborne to meet the bar for a playable race.

I do think gnomes will recruit junker gnomes, but who knows who the worgen might recruit. The Sethrak would be a possible fit for worgen given they both share a cultural 'curse' identity, what with the Sethrak's desertification curse.

At this point I'm about 50/50 on Sethrak becoming playable.

Exactly, worgen (Genn) will recruit Kultiran humans, while Mekkatorque when he thaw's himself out will get Junk Gnomes or something like that.
Mechagnomes? But people don't even like normal Gnomes.

Even if they do it's still just another flavor of gnome, which are currently just 5% of the Alliance population. This faction is bleeding players right now, and giving them a variant of an already-playable race with very niche appeal while the Horde get something brand new and blatantly popular is not going to help.

Oh come on, I like normal Gnomes can't say the same for the new ones though, but that's just personal bias I don't like anything "robo" themed in general

Let's not pretend that the void elves weren't unpopular, to be fair though VE and the Dark Irons seem like the only unique races out of the five, compared to LF, KT humans, and Garbage gnomes.

Who just seem like a newer versions of already existing races.

I think the Worgen pairing will be the recently datamined Saberon that come in from Draenor. They already share a skeleton and everything.

Did the datamine say anything aside from "they exist?" I find the Alliance working with Saberon to be highly unlikely.
