like the time allied races were introduced and alliance players had to grind rep for 3 additional months to get their allied races. lol or the time they included a horde metal head video in blizzcon in which the guy told alliance players to kill themselves lol

No multi million dollar company just airs a clip at a million dollar convention without approving it.
Literally no one. Ever. Cause for all they know, it’s something that could result in legal action being taken against them.
They would NEVER, and I mean NEVER use a clip without someone vetting it.
And the fact they ignored the Alliance backlash and added him as an NPC and didn’t remove him until they started censoring wow over the lawsuit, and people resurfaced the video clip is enough evidence to me the devs back then were okay with it.

It wasn’t too bad until BfA and blizzard gave alliance the short end of the stick so many times. I remember reading thread after thread of people being upset

Blizzard aired an interview with Corpsegrinder, an actual person, where he told Alliance players to go die, with multiple expletives involved.
This happened at BlizzCon.
You can literally see the story if you just google it. Lol. It was a big thing back then. And Blizzard just kinda ignored the backlash on the Alliance side and still added him as an NPC.

I agree. I wager the vast majority of players have only a passing interest in the WoW lore. It’s a fantasy game. I’m a lone wolf PvE player. Others want a more social experience and go where their friends are.

cross faction will only benefit people who play both factions and want to play their night elf druid with their horde guildies. the solo q players that claim to want to raid and do mythic+ STILL wont join a guild and will STILL just complain they never get invited to groups as a solo players. its a joke

My favorite was one of the devs saying they designed Uldir as a Horde raid and they were mad they had to let Alliance do it because they weren’t there, only the Horde were.
Like bruh.
(Which is why the Alliance have zero context for the Uldir raid. Like, literally zero.)
And the best part, (something easily googleable) is they said this was justified because Alliance got more story in Battle of Dazar’alor and the mini-raid. Neither of which is true. Lmao. The Alliance and Horde had equal story in the mini raid (literally the same questline), and BoD was equally shared.

ONLY Blizzard can declare whether or not they ACTUALLY vetted it properly or not.
Because I for one would never be surprised if Blizzard had NO CLUE why Alliance might take offense at being told to go end themselves.

I don’t think most people will care. They’ll probably just take whoever has the higher item level and higher io, which, admittedly, will likely mostly be horde in 9.2.5. It should balance itself out more in the future though.
This definitely won’t make things worse though. For alliance players, this is huge because it increases the pool of people they can play with by a huge margin.

remember karabor was going to be an alliance hub in wod and the movable garrisons and 90% of the stuff cut? no? ok pretty sure it was a thing mentioned that was cut mentioned at an official event called blizzcon

If you think he meant for alliance players to die in real life, I think that’s just unfavorable interpretation on your part. He very clearly did not mean that and you have to grasp at all the straws to come to that conclusion.
You clearly have never watched the video if you think he was talking about our characters. The expletives make it VERY clear he means us.
