"Alliance has strong characters, Horde has strong faction feel"

It’s a byproduct of them trying to have things two ways. To tell the gritty, dark story of “mutual mistrust and misunderstanding” and present ways in which both sides could misinterpret the intentions of the other… but also have Anduin as a YA novel protagonist who can do no wrong.

While on the Alliance side we are shown that Tyrande refuses to sign the armistice, what is shown Horde side is:

Lor’themar Theron: The Alliance has sent word. They have agreed to the armistice. This bitter war is finally over.

So either the Horde doesn’t know that Tyrande turned the armistice down, or the Horde is treating Anduin’s signature as that of the de facto head of the entire Alliance.

In a better written story, I can see the Horde making this assumption (their cultural lens is that maybe Anduin = Warchief, so what he says goes) and then later, Tyrande furious that Anduin presumed to speak on behalf of her.

That would be pretty ironic, though, given they themselves were then abolishing the position of Warchief.

Alternatively, it could be that the Horde was indeed told by the Alliance members sending the news that the Alliance as a whole has agreed to the Armisitice, even if in reality there were people who did not agree to sign the Armistice.

This could, in turn, be because Alliance decisions are simply a majority vote, Anduin is indeed ‘high king’ and makes proclamations unilaterally, or the Alliance diplomatic corps (or whatever the people who send messages to the Horde) made the decision that telling the Horde the Alliance did not agree fully to the Armistice would only invite further conflict.

Plenty of reasons why it could be a matter of Lor’themar Theron telling truthfully what he was told, without misunderstanding on his part.

Edit: To add further clarification, the Horde is shown in Zuldazar to have “Horde Ambassador” NPCs, and it stands to reason that the Alliance does as well, and that communication between the Horde and Alliance go through those channels rather than Anduin and Baine exchanging notes like children in a classroom. (Even if that does … also happen)

All plausible ideas. But my point was still that Horde side it isn’t even presented as anyone from the Alliance disagreeing with the armistice.
