It’ll be when they get on ally side and Vann is solo’d by a ranged SP mage style and they lose. Can’t back door into the horde base and solo Drek, like you can Vann. All it takes is the towers being destroyed and the crappy mob pathing.

They’re currently threatening to lock down the server to verified users only because they are afraid their bannable premade fixing gimmick is spreading around to too many people.
I mean whatever, seems like got some prejudice problems that is so common in the forums. Go find the videos if you are interested, if not I don’t care. But its no coincidence the horde side had a 90% AV winrate throughout classic.
I fail to see what Blizzard could do to “fix” this non-problem. The only reason it really works is because a large enough percentage of the total alliance AV pool is using this approach that it’s fairly likely that several groups will land in the same AV and that will be enough to win the fight. You never get a full 40 in a game. If like only… 1% of alliance were doing this, the whole thing would be basically impossible. These aren’t really premades in the full sense of the term; you don’t get to choose who you’re playing AV with.
Honestly, while the disc server definitely helps, I’d say the much bigger reason it’s been so effective is it’s basically retraining Alliance players on how to actually play AV against the current horde meta. Alliance pugs have been hopeless because the various pug strategies people have been using just don’t work. You get on a disc, get everyone to agree on a strategy that has actually been working and follow through on it, and magically alliance starts winning AV again. I know this is the case because I had a game a bit ago where pretty much nobody talked the entire game and we won just as easily as our other games. So sure, while doing these “premades” may help in particularly tough situations that require a lot of adapting, by and large the bigger problem is… alliance broke the horde meta. GG, WP, find a new strat. Eventually horde will figure something out and win for a bit, but maybe they’ll need to do something similar and setup their own disc server to educate their fellow horde on how to play that new strat.

There was a solution to this from the start: horde who hate their queues and alliance premade steamrollers can reroll as alliance, just like the alliance who wanted marginal pvp racial advantages in TBC (sweaty idiots) rerolled horde.
Problem solved.

Genuine question but what is Blizzard supposed to do to stop this? Even if they hid what AV number you are in won’t people just spam “HOP IN CHANNEL X IN THE AV DISCORD” in the cave and get organised anyway?

Last time this happened during Classic there was a mass banwave of people doing it, seems like that corrected the problem.
BTW there is now a moderator on this server wasting their life verifying people every 3 seconds just about, so the server is about to crash some time later today. Get in now before it’s too late.

Imagine complaining about people organizing in a mode that requires organization to tackle objectives. Does everyone realize there is an in-game built communication system? What’s to stop people from telling everyone to use this?
