To be fair world buffs are kinda abused. I understand wanting to have every advantage but if they were nerfed the game would be better overall. The only reason people get them is to compete with other people who will have them.
They do save alot of time in raids but keep in mind you’re also putting in extra time outside of the raid to begin with to prepare. I’m not doing diremaul anymore; if a guild has to do that every night to clear a raid then they don’t deserve to kill that boss anyways. Onyxia head/ZG heart… okay.
Hammer into your head which cities are safe to run into. Forgetting you’re horde and running into Stormwind is, well, very bad for your health. Even into little outposts it can be a bad idea.
I’d say check out TB before dismissing it, doesn’t help with flight times, but I always felt it was one of the most conveniently laid out capitals, especially with the position of bank and AH and mailbox on the bottom level.

I wish. I’m an Alliance expert. I’ve ganked Orgrimmar more times than I can count. I’m going horde druid though for the fresh experience. Stormwind will be my playground with the large amounts of water in the canals for escapes. That and IF is pretty vulnerable with the lava trenches
I did my best trying to answer all your questions.
- Only
- Traitors
- Roll
- Horde
That’s cool if you want to raid in my raid, you will have wbuffs and if someone of your class wants to get them and you don’t, he has your spot.
That’s fine. I got a feeling most of the community is going to start shaming those who use them excessively. Like I said; I understand the need for them since everyone is doing it but its a lame mechanic.
Right all the guilds at the top of the logs will have them and your guild will be close to the bottom and I think that’s the shame you are talking about.
Gromgol hearth is a great hub to get around anywhere in the world. Kargath for raids however u can get stuck here at times.
You don’t need world buffs to clear any content in vanilla. It speeds things up but that’s about it. Probably wont have a world first but who cares.
No plan for world first just a solid guild with a core that does the content every week efficiently. But you will have server logs and I plan for my guild to be top 5.
This is a very old game that’s been replayed a hundred times over the years on private servers. No one cares who’s top 5 on an individual server. They might be impressed at a world first but that’s it.
yeah it’s mostly to poach the best players on the server and to do world dragons. Yeah i’ve played 7+ private servers for vanilla into endgame. My favorite game and i like to dominate which is why i usually played with the EU folk. You have your fun I’ll have mine.
In my experience there’s usually only 1 top guild per faction in private servers. On a server like Herod with thousands of people and even more streamers you’re just going to get killed on the way to zoning in. Especially now since sapper charges are so well known and popular. World buffs wont matter.
also flight points in neutral towns like lights hope, booty bay or gadgetzan. I lost count of how many times I mindlessly ran to the horde FP and rightclicked resulting in an autoattack only to get roflstompped by the fp and guards
edit: to be clear I was horde for years and then went alliance so so used to horde FPs in those towns

thats something that Alliance players don’t think about

Doesn’t the booty bay teleporter work for horde?
In the old days, especially if you are at the stage of PvE content focused around Blackrock Mountain (BRD/UBRS/MC/BWL/etc.), there was a population of Horde players who would keep their hearths at Kargath in the Badlands. I was one of those players.
The reason for this is because:
-
Kargath is the SINGULAR Horde flight path that links southern Eastern Kingdoms with the northern Eastern Kingdoms. You can fly anywhere in EK from Kargath (if you don’t mind the long flight).
-
Of particular importance on a PvP realm, Kargath was the only Horde stronghold with adequate guards to keep an Alliance raid at bay. You could group up in relative safety, then move to BRM in a big group. (These were pretty epic, and a plus for playing on a PvP realm).

When you get to the endgame, and if your doing PvE content with a guild, it’s likely that a Mage will be in your party or raid. After whatever dungeon or raid you did was done, the Mage would portal your party back to Orgrimmar. This eliminates the need to hearth to Org.
