How else would you describe everyone coming together to beat the tar out of one another?
I’m guessing it’s because most pvpers who aren’t actively aware of merc and already using it constantly either don’t know it exists, forgot about it, or can’t be bothered to go find the NPC every time they want to queue.
Maybe if they had it as an option to queue as merc in the dungeon menu, more would use it and they wouldn’t need to buff Alliance honor so much.

Alliance here–I ran random BGs for 2 days straight and easily had double the amount of losses as I did wins.

How many epic BG’s will you need to play this week in order to gain 1500 honor? 1, maybe 2 for Horde? For Alliance it’s likely to be 4 or 5, given how often Ashran shows up.
Cool. Remove bonuses (no racials, no mercenary option, no honor bonuses, no queueing as a group). Things will go very well - especially with Horde and even longer queue times. 
Alliance is generally more honorable so makes sense i guess.

In my universe, Alliance loses the majority of random BGs I partake in. It’s demoralizing.
merc mode exists because most pvpers were alliance in WoD. horde fotm rerolled specifically for pre nerf stone form that was a free cloak for healers, and emfh dps. it still exists and benefits horde now though.
wait times are like 10m for a bg for horde the fact alliance has 1-2m queues and people don’t understand that less alliance are queueing. wut is math?

because horde outnumber us in wm its simple idc about sharding it doesnt matter there is more horde then alliance . period . That is why .
i’d love to get rid of the bonuses and then horde will have literally 2 hour queues and then they’ll cry about that. see classic AV for proof of that. but omg it’s so unfair!!!1one
more horde pvp because of welfare racials and that’s the only reason. i am on your side my dude. i am an orc now but i’ve been a dwarf since vanilla. i also only WM as alliance because forget killing alliance in WM.
