Alleria is cooler than Sylvanas

Why not the void? A few poorly timed events and the void might be able to push her just enough to start something. For example, Turalyon and Alleria have a fight about Alleria’s use of the void, Sylvanas mocks Alleria about her relationship shortly afterwards, and Alleria lashes out with the void.(I’m not a creative writer but you get the idea).

Once she starts trouble, it won’t matter if she comes to her senses immediately afterwards and realizes it was the void making things worse since Sylvanas will respond with… extreme prejudice.

The problem I have with this is that it’s just what everyone would expect to happen. Sylvanas does something evil. Alleria fights back. Vereesa feels bad. In other news, fire is hot. At 11, we tell you about water being wet.

If you have Alleria being the one to start it, Sylvanas has a certain amount of legitimate justification for the things she does in response. This puts the third parties (in this case Vereesa) into a situation where they have to decide how to act when both parties are in the wrong (Alleria for starting it, Sylvanas for escalating).

I blame Locus-Walker.

I like Vereesa and Alleria tbh. Veressa is one of my favs and her two ugly twins too. =)

Maybe she loses control in an actual fight.

Azshara is the true void queen!

I agree.

And Sylvanas married Nathanos, a dead human.

I think we just need all the Windrunner sisters to have their own separate retirement careers:

  • Sylvanas retires and takes up her real passion: delivering sassy one-liners in dark anti-hero movies while pretending not to care.

  • Alleria and her new Void Elf friends build their own mini Vindicaar and go on their own interplanar journey. Some sort of trek…through…stars… It could work. Umbric is already the WoW version of a science officer.

  • Vareesa settles down in Stormwind and becomes a school teacher who specializes in Azeroth History. She is then seen in SW occasionally reading to children by the pond while sheep graze nearby.

Hey, I got two good TV series and a reversal of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Not a bad use of the Windrunner sisters!

Are there any instances of a male high elf getting with a human female?

I think the closest would be Kalec (blue draon in half-elf form) with Anveena (Sunwell in human form). So… sorta?

Yikes. I find that pretty gross.

Other than the notes of a strange sexuality and an extremely unhealthy body image…
… I’m honestly tired of those characters. They need to be retired or at least consolidated. We don’t need Vereesa and Allaria needs to go fully Void Elf. Maybe we can raid boss Sylvanas and let a more Forsaken looking Forsaken lead the Forsaken?

Or Kalec and Jaina??

No. They are all single.

What if Azeroth turned out to be an even larger vehicle?

I bet she handles like a bistro.

Meh. It’s a wash. They both suck.

Sylvanas went from a dark and cool villain to a stupid and cartoony one. A cool and unique concept (dark knights are a dime a dozen, but dark archers are comparably unheard of) completely smashed in with the stupid end of the villain bat.

Alleria went randomly “dark” for… “reasons” because I guess just being a Ranger wasn’t marketable enough? She was one of the single greatest and most powerful champions of the Alliance - they didn’t need to 90s her up with all this dark and edgy void BS.

Sylvanas is hitched to one of the single most irksome and annoying characters in the franchise who’s greatest contribution will be when he dies. Honestly, I hope we don’t kill him and that Sylvanas does, because that level of betrayal would be the only way his death could hurt him enough.

Alleria is hitched to the single greatest disappointment in the franchise, a character who should by all rights be running the show, a former Supreme Commander of the Alliance. Instead this character’s first act in the WoW was to get caught in plotgoop and get saved by his wife. He and Malfurion should start a support group. Now he’s put on even footing with Liadrin of all worthless characters, and… Turalyon should have stayed vanished.

Sylvanas’ people, the Forsaken, have been devolved into the most stupidly shallow and blatant of villains which is not only a massive disservice to them, but entirely redundant. You know what we call mindlessly evil undead? The Scourge. We HAVE one of those already! The narrative didn’t need another! While before the Forsaken offered a unique angle on tragedy, now they’re like their mistress, dumb, one dimensional, shallow, and entirely ruined.

As for the Void Elves… there is no excuse for this being a race. A paltry handful of Elves gets randomly Void-ified and that’s a legitimate playable option? No. That’s the most preposterous, idiotic thing to come out of an expansion that’s wholly founded on idiocy. This wasn’t just Blizzard saying “RAR NO HIGH ELVES!!!” (something I wholly agreed with before this gibbering madness) - this was Blizzard giving a big purple tentacled finger to anyone who wanted them. High Elves weren’t a valid option, but Void Elves invalidate the concept of validation and in comparison… yeah. High Elves would have been better.

In short, they’re both terrible. Neither is cool at this point, and the only way of saving them would be to retcon this entire expansion as some stupid Old God dream.

Void Elves should definitely be more tantra based.

Summon heavy and involved in as deep as the illicit activity can go in a game of this rating (ritual drinking, smoking, you know the rest…)

In other words, I do think they lack the sort of expected depth of a void fairing race.

If you have the time, this is a good eye opener, thematically…

Why would I fight someone who is correct?

It could be a spar for training’s sake!

Ahh, Alleria, If she was a spice, she’d be flour.

Ooh what flavor is Vereesa

Sylvanas has only two types of opinions about her: People that love her and will always love her and you can’t change their mind or replace her and haters.
