Check to see if they are listed in Alphabetical order. Tripped me up first time I checked.

i blame activision
I was in the game, playing on my druid when I got DC’d (Aggramar/Fizzcrank). When I logged back in all of my characters on all realms are not appearing. I was getting the “Character Not Found” error earlier, but now they never appear. Interestingly, I cannot enable/disabled add-ons in the start screen either.

Lag is extreme and its breaking the quest to follow Lindie to the stable. I couldn’t even log out, then when trying again all my character servers are gone from the list
Characters eventally loaded back up on character select, but logging in is a whole different issue. I’m getting the “Character Not Found” message each time i try to log in to the server, Stormrage.
I understand it’s patch day, but a little feedback from the devs / people at Blizzard would be cool to ease the minds of people who have been waiting hours trying to frustratingly log in. I spent my free time of today watching youtube videos and trying to go in to the game 
Hopefully it’ll be stable tomorrow.

what about all the toon on all servers been gone
Same here. After I tried to logout, but couldn’t so I alt-tabbed and close wow manually. Now when I login it put me the server select screen with none of my characters showing up.

I am having the same issue. I have toons on Area 52 and Exodar. None of my toons show up unless I log into the server. Then I get “Character Not Found” on all toons. I was able to play about an hour ago but kept getting disconnected. I spent more time waiting for the game to load then I did actually playing. Now all of my toons are messed up. This is pretty bad for taking an EXTRA hour for maintenance.
