All these talking heads are annoying. It feels like I’m back in the '90s, navigating through a sketchy website with endless pop-ups. There’s way to many of them is there a way to shut them off?
I think I’ve moved mine up into the top left corner so I barely notice them now but you can just right click them and they’ll go away also.
Agree. Same with the stupid splash screens that show me the group/raid’s loot and the instance name. I really want to be able to turn off both of these. They are a waste of my screen real estate.
I have an addon that blocks them all. It is called BeQuiet. Works well.
It took way too long to find this addon, talking heads are awful
I use this very same add-on
I’m really tired of having to rely on addons to add options which should be native to the game…
I like the talking heads in general, but they should only really exist for questing / world content.
Having them in dungeons and raids is obnoxious.
There is not a good place to drop the frame that isn’t in the way of other things I have on my screen. If I forget to run the blocker addon after an update or something it’s beyond annoying.
I get annoyed when your head talks too, but I keep that to myself because sharing that would be rude.
Whoops!
I agree whole heartedly, the talking heads are more of a nuisance than cosmetically pleasing.
There are addons and such that help, but Blizzard really should just remove them, they’re super annoying. I have to wade through an army of them every time I do a raid from Legion/BFA.
Yeah same.
No matter where I place them they somehow get in the way.
Plumber has alot of UI things, including completely removing talking heads and even the text, among loot window improvements and a fix for the Underlight Angler UI.
Highly recommend.
BeQuiet is one of the best addons I’ve ever installed.

I normally don’t mind them but trying to camp rares on siren isle is excruciating because it’s every 2 or 3 minutes.
Only solution I’ve found is to use rare scanner settings as “main volume” and then turn everything else down. The game will be completely muted until it’s time for the rare to be announced.
Yes.
Install the addon Be Quiet.
I think the only place it really bothers me is that Arathi farm area in Hollowfall. The elf has a fresh yap session like every 3 meters.
Other than that it’s not so bad.
I use No Talking Heads https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/no-talking-heads
I 100% agree. There should be an option to turn them off (maybe there is and I missed it) but in this case the addon has really been great stopping that nonsense that someone thought was cute and clever.
