I completely agree with you. The RND is officially KILLING my interest in this game. A bit of history here: Two other friends of mine and myself have played this game since before Auction houses were installed. We have been playing this game for a very long time. For the most part, we like the game, but the recent years development has started to wear us down. The legendary artifact weapons were okay, It was still some RND ,to play a class like druid, in order to enjoy my other potential specs. I.E. Feral, Balance, etc. Now I cannot even switch to these specs and keep up, because it requires that I have 9 up-to-date azerite armor pieces just to “Duel spec” properly. I sign into the game because I want to have FUN, but Blizzard is really trying to push me away with how much Tread-milling is required to keep up, and that is just for my ONE toon!! if I wanted to play an ALT, I really can’t keep up. I usually don’t play alts because of the treadmill. As long as you stay on the treadmill, you are usually fine, IF you are lucky with the casino royal method of RND the devs invoke on us. If you fall of, well… you’re going to fall behind.
If I want to play various specs within my own Druid class, I either have to reset the armor stats with gold or RND up three different sets of Azerite so I can fill in when I need to on either healing , tanking or DPS. Sheesh. There have been times I have stepped away from this game, because of how much my actual class was tied into my gear. I.E. tech trees in my weapon or armor. It’s not fun. It’s punishing. I wish things were different. I fear this will never change. I miss the old style of fighting for my gear as well. Not this roulette system of RND.
