This is a really bizarre analogy, but let’s go with it. I have no idea what you are talking about with smashing a pie in their face, but an accurate application of a baker analogy would involve talking about the reasonable expectations of how much money a baker can actually make. If I presented statistics from the Bureau of Labor Management telling a person who wants to be a baker what the average salary of someone in that field is, only a crazy person would suggest that I am insulting them and only someone suffering from paranoid delusions would think that doing so is anything like smashing a pie in their face.

I think the degree of a “More Challenge” is much smaller than you are leading on.
And I think you have demonstrated that you have zero interest in being truthful about the degree of that challenge. Why should anyone pay any attention to what you say when you still cannot admit that you grossly exaggerated when you claimed the “max effect” was 3 additional seconds?
Until you make that admission, you have zero credibility and anything else you say should be summarily ignored.

You guys and your “oh, go ahead, play a Ret, be happy with it” would be sharing your pie. But then following with comments like “even though its a 
spec” just are not necessary. You may believe that but not everyone does. You’re not simply "showing BoLM statistics, you’re doing so and then saying “your job is .” You may be one of those “gots ta top da charts” people and that’s fine, but that’s not everyone.
Once you start smashing the pie, people stop listening to anything you have to say because you’re just being antagonistic at that point. You can claim you’re “trying to help people” but you know you’re really not.

Bro, don’t dump on my Warrior Off-Healing spec. It’s simple, I farm cloth for 30 hours a week to have enough to raid on Tuesday for reset. I just convert them all to bandages before the raid starts, buy a couple armor and stamina flasks off the AH, and then bandage anyone that gets low. Don’t even need to DPS the boss to be useful in a raid environment .
Just stack +Stam and +Armor/Def gear and you’re basically unkillable. Plus you can use the rage you gen from Anger Management to ensure that Battle Shout is always up for the group you’re in. So what if the tanks get mad. If I wasn’t supposed to roll on it, there wouldn’t be a button for it. If the group uses DKP, that’s what my points are for.
It’s not a meme spec it’s 100% viable. Look at the people who are really using the most bandages in raids. The top ones are all Warriors, I guarantee it.
So what if my healing numbers aren’t as good as a Paladins - the game isn’t even tightly tuned. Any guild that doesn’t let their Warriors off heal basically isn’t a guild you want to be a part of. Plus, it only takes 20 or so people to do Onyxia. By the time we get to Naxx I’ll basically be a god with my set from BWL.
Yes: this is really what Ret Paladins sound like.
I cant lie, if Enh/ele were more viable in raids, it wouldve been my first 60 rather than my 3rd.

I never said you were. I said I don’t see any need to lie about the challenge. I was referring to myself and why I think it is important to be upfront about the challenge of raiding with a Ret Pally. I apologize if that wasn’t clear.
Can you go one comment without being condescending and self-righteous? At no point in this thread have I ever said that people should compose a group any particular way or that they were wrong, stupid, or bad if they didn’t.

I was being sarcastic, but me explaining that to you now, is being condescending and I apologize.
But when I said have a nice day - I really honestly meant it. I do! You’re obviously a smart guy, I’m not going to say otherwise, and you’ve given all this much thought - I think sometimes it’s not the message, it’s how you present it.
What does it serve to say to people the spec they have chosen is meaningless, a burden, a waste? To help reinforce old stigmas. I think I disagree with that more than anything. I don’t doubt your numbers. I don’t doubt your group would down it faster than mine.
But at the end of the day, if we are both doing it - what purpose was there attempting to shame people for their decisions. You seem to think that these people will be twisting in the wind, never getting invited. This isn’t retail, it’s not 14 years ago, trust me - they’ll get invited and clear the content just fine.
