Holy crap this is uncannily dark af.
I donât think the game needs this.
I think itâll happen eventually.
Nej ââââââ
Finally someone who understands why druids donât have more races.
Itâs all about the shapeshifts. Ugh.
Meh I still want blood elf druids.
SW human and void elf shamans would be nice
Exactly to me this comes back to the fact you play as what the game actually calls âthe heroâ. Yet if you play night elf your âheroâ can be a priest but is too dumb to understand how the light works to be a paladin. Like really? I can heal and resurrect people but I canât heal and resurrect people if I am wearing plate armour?
I agree 100% and it has been something I always stand for. Every race should be able to be any class⊠Except maybe Demon Hunter.
With the new starting zone, we have the Alliance/Horde teaching us to be our class, not our race. So lore reasonings arenât really much of an excuse unless lorewise a character just canât be that class for biological reason. Like a Void Elf Paladin, but even then that is thrown out the window with game mechanics allowing them to be Holy Priests.
Another point to make is our character at this point is the Champion of the Azeroth. He/she should be strong and smart enough to be a class that is outside of their races norm. In most cases the hero character depending on what race you choose already does things outside of their racial norm, so why not let them pick whatever class they want and send em to Exileâs Reach as their starter zone.
For the umpteenth time, no. These threads are just spam at this point.
This is a disgusting viewpoint. If the story team has any integrity, they wonât pull a narrative 180 to justify every race suddenly having every class despite how little sense some new combinations would make.
This, too. There are both cultural and biological barriers. People already piss and moan about Lightforged having DKs, which are a bit of a stretch to explain and only really exist so every race would have the class, letâs not make it worse for the sake of making it worse.
- Void elves donât have paladins because the contrasting forces of Light and Void would be fatal
- Lightforged donât have demon hunters because the contrasting forces of Light and fel would be fatal
- Draenei donât have warlocks because they were hunted by demons for several millennia; any actual draenei who willingly became warlocks like the Sargerei would be treated by the rest of them worse than the humans treat their own warlocks
The line has to be drawn somewhere. Iâm not against new combinations, but the ones that would be Dragon Ball fan character-tier should stay off the table.
I mean you can argue against some races and classes. But that doesnât change that more race class combinations should be added.
Edit - To a point about no Draenei warlocks, if Draenei received a red skin customization basically showing that many of the Manâari have rejoined their kin I think it could work. Velen wouldnât turn away his people wanting to rejoin their people. They repent but are still scarred with the changes the fel has wrought. Many draenei may be intrigued to learn the ways to control demons to defeat them and enemies of theirs in the future. After all Sargeras isnât dead.
If Blizzard gave a damn about lore consistency, night elf priests wouldnât appear to be using light-based spells as it exists as the typical golden holy light.
Priestesses of Elune would wield powers of a âprimitiveâ night warrior for lack of better words.
I disagree i have played a MMOrpg like what you want didnât like it at all itâs ok not every race can be every class to me.
Star Wars Galaxies was fun. But the combat system was meh.
I heard you get locked into movements in that game or animations ext it sounds akward to me.
It played like KOTOR where you press your abilities and they are queued up to happen. It was very janky.
Itâs not to hell with lore. Many class race combos that arenât in the game are 100% explainable lorewise, Blizzard have just been hesitant to implement them as they have not done before. Please make the leap Blizzard.
I mean the fact that all the animations exist for each race to use any classes spells or effects is already a selling point of it wouldnât the much to implement.
Druids and totems are the only things that would need work.
I would rather races keep what little flavour they have left and keep spme restrictions.
Why would any surviving Draenei turn to demonic warlocks? Void elf and Forsaken Paladins are a contradiction and before I get âbut priestsâ, would you rather them be locked to shadow?
Since im pretty sure thats the lore justification and gameplay wise they can be all that class has to offer.
If they can come up with narratives that help some races into more class combos then thats fine, but some should be left alone for integrity sake imo.
Must agree here 100%, and Iâve been saying this for the past 4 years.
This game is feeling stale, and if Blizz wants a significant cash boost - well open up all class/race combos.
Forsaken Druids - just use the rotting critters that we see in Trisfal GladesâŠForsaken Shaman - tombstone totems!
Forsaken = Master Race !
EDIT - almost forgotâŠScrew the âlore geeksâ !
