All Quests done by Alex Afrasiabi Need to be Deleted or Reworked

Can you actually create a discussion please if you’re going to make a thread here.

Just posting hashtags doesn’t explain to folks why the quests should be changed. And no, for the record, they shouldn’t. The quests he designed are just fine, and we have no idea which ones he designed or how many he designed anyway.

However, all references to him in-game need to be purged.

Blizzard knew even back then I guess. RIP.

Which could end up working in their favor. Gives them the opportunity to spin his exit as a positive change they implemented, and save face if things start looking bad.

Cancel culture is a boogeyman.

I heard he also nodded approval at other team projects, we better remove all those too!

Why exactly do you think sexual harassment awareness is purely leftist?

They can’t simply remove all of the quests made by Alex Afrasiabi. That’s not how video game design works.

They can probably remove at least some non-integral references to him such as Field Marshal Afrasiabi.

Not sure that they can remove EVERY reference to him, though. A lot of quests and quest items reference him as well, and there is also Lord Afrasastrasz who is literally referenced in two Warcraft books. They would have to put out new versions of “Dawn of the Aspects” and “Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects” if they rename the character, or otherwise ignore the existence of the books.

It’s a huge mess.

This is blizzard standards, Swifty was accused with no proof of sexual misconduct, NPC removed, Kael’thas voice actor was proven innocent, all his lines removed.

According to how blizz works this should be the right thing to do.

While Blizzard is entitled to this same right as an individual would be, the fact that a state (who has the probability of losing the taxes/income of this business) led a two year investigation is a bit different than an individual pressing charges. It’s going to be rough for Blizzard.

Oh come on, he is a dude. Everyone knows guys are just guilty and there is no reason to wait!

You don’t need to rework/remove them.

Just replace the NPC lol

The guy sounds like a sleeze ball, but there is no need to remove any content in the game that he created. The guy is no longer employed by Blizzard.

It’s just easy for companies to do it this way. Placating the mob, no matter has stupid their cause may be, is just easier than having principles. And it’s probably way more profitable.

Just nitpicking here, but aren’t they just accusations until they are proven true in a court of law and he’s found guilty?

Since we are in a Shadowlands Expansion let’s counter him by reviving the people we loved that he most certainly killed off!

Namely: Krasus, Anveena(so that Kalec can be removed from Jaina’s character allowing her to move on), Akarek, Korthek and Zul!

Let’s also kill off the characters he propped up at the expense of others: Odyn.

99% probably have no clue what quests he designed so removing them wouldn’t make sense, but removing his name from NPCs makes sense.

I could do without ever seeing that dude again.

Legally, yes. However, this is a STATE pressing charges that has conducted a two year investigation. A state where this massive company resides. You know, where they pay their taxes and such. The state only has everything to lose in this situation if they lost (and it’s a lot of $$ to take a company to court, AND they’d lose a massive tax payer), they certainly wouldn’t be pressing charges if they didn’t think they had a strong case.
