All players should be afraid

BM hunter is 100% filler, so I am no afraid.

Less procs seems reasonable to me.
Ive started paying attention to how often i get them since they announced the changes, and it seems to be 99% of the time. Its kind of crazy that demonbolt be instant cast for the majority of the time. At that point the proc might as well not exist and it just be an instant cast spell.

I do wish the new talents werent just % increases as thats not overly fun. Having 3 dogs is fun.
Imps doing 5% more crit is not fun.

My entire rotation is disintegrate.

What are these procs you speak of?

It’s not when it’s the core of the specs gameplay, for literally every situation, from AoE, to PvP, to ST pve.

It’s not, you only get 2 every 20 seconds. That’s almost nothing, and it forces you into siphon to make up the difference, which still isn’t enough since we need to bank that for tyrants since during tyrant we generate literally 0 cores.

I would say the core of the spec is building shards and spending them on making an army of demons.
Dragonflight just had too many talents related to procs which meant they started to come in more often this expansion.

I was referring to live when i said that. So the 3 dogs and hand of guldan.

But you still get procs from imps like normal so youre not just getting 2 every 20 seconds on ptr.

We can’t build shards in pvp without core procs, you can cant even function in aoe without core procs, and in ST raid environments there is so much movement you will barely be able spend shards because of how slow you generate them.

people praise a fight like terros, however a fight like terros would make demonology actually impossible to use because you have no time to hardcast.

Imp generating procs is exceptionally rare.

I dont do pvp so ive no first hand experience with that one but it does feel like youre right.
Maybe they could make a pvp talent for that

I believe they have a 10% chance for a proc.
15% if you talent into it and 20% if talented using implosion.
So not too bad of odds depending on how many imps you can get out.
(Garbage if youre setting up portal mind)

Balancing happens in online game? Gasp!

I thought it was the imps summoned by Hand of Guldan that helped the proc?

do you know how the imp spawn from hand is determined?

by how many purple crystal thingies you have?

how do you generate those

I have some kind of talent or something that gives me 3 at the start of a fight so HoG is like my first cast, then I start shadowbolting to get a full row, if my first imps are still there I Implosion and cast another HoG… by then ill probably get a proc or two of DemonBolt…

If I remember correctly ( been a while) 1 shadowbolt = 1 crystal

Is the change affecting that? Will it now take 3 shadowbolts to fill a crystal?

Honestly, I wouldn’t doubt it one bit if you looked at the past.

There’s no crying in Warlock…

I’ve never seen a soul banned for it, and there are multiple R1 glads in my pvp discord who have been running kickbots and optimized pvp scripts for over 10 years with zero account actions

yea i dont cast tho

The imps do have a chance to give the proc when they fade.
You also get one per dreadstalker when they end.

However there is currently a talent to add a third dreadstalker, and a talent so casting hand of guldan has a 15% chance of giving the proc.
Both of these talents are going.

So dreadstalkers will give 2 charges of demonic core and casting hand of guldan will give 0.

Its like a 30% decrease in procs given

I hope they buff shadowbolt to compensate. I kind of hate that it, and spells like it, have become ‘filler’ buttons.

Yes. They are literally stripping any mobility demonology had away.

One of the main issues demonology had was they weren’t mobile enough, and they’re taking away any mobility they did have.

It’s hilariously bad developers at work.
