I played early this morning with no problems. The Battle net app did a WOW Retail update and right after that I tried to login and 45 of my 46 toons are completely gone…i am on the correct account im not fkn stupid. I was on, i logged out for a few minutes…under 1 hours time…did nothing diff…blizz did an update and now 18 yrs of WOW progress is gone. WHAT IN THE FK
Are you sure that you’re on the right account? There’s currently an issue with accounts not being detected by the bnet launcher. They’re still there, not deleted, it’s just that the launcher is messing up at the moment.

I did, because it’s very easy to not notice that when starting the game through the launcher, you’re actually logging in on what’s probably a trial account instead of your main one, since I imagine most of us never actually use the account selector after picking our primary account.
In my case, my main account is also missing, but I was able to log in to the game by going into the files and launching Wow.exe manually instead of doing it through the launcher.
I had the same issue just now. SOLUTION: Log out and log in manually without using the Battlenet App… this is what worked for me

Really? As in on the in-game login screen after opening Wow.exe manually from whatever folder you have the game installed in, your missing account(s) isn’t there on the in-game dropdown menu?
yes wow 1 wow 2 are not in the drop down sounds wide spread, i only can start a new blank character list. i started this game in dec of 2010, all of it is gone as of this moment we will see if they revert

Barring using the dropdown, I believe you should be able to use a registered email address or phone number and password to log in, from which point you’ll likely be prompted to select an account if there are multiple assigned to that email or phone number.
Since launching through the .exe doesn’t automatically log you in regardless, you should be able to use the two text fields, provided you know your login info, to reach your account since it’s still there even if the UI doesn’t want to automatically show it to you.

Just try to change your server to US if u re on the EU one. I also had this problem and i changed it to US and my characters and subscription is finally back

I have the same problem. My acct is active until 14 Oct 2025, but when I logged into my realm (Silvermoon) today, everyone of my toons are now gone. All eleven of them. I have been playing this game since 7 Oct 2010. That’s a lot of play time to see it all disappear!! I looked at the realm status and it states that the realm is currently active; not down for any maintenance at all.
