This is a good example of what will happen when you roll on a streamer server or a visitor heavy server and a new Live patch/expansion hits.
Not really, complaints about the population fall off in beta started before the last stress test. That was a full week before BfA 8.2 hit.
You think a 9k pop server is big? lmao. You think a 3k pop server is GOOD? lmao.
You know how many concurrent players servers with 3k unique or 9k unique players have on at any one time?
Less than 1000. Much less. And thatâs dead.
Itâs not layering. Beta just isnât very active. Itâll pick-up when the level cap increases.
How many more things can we test when weâve been stuck at level cap for weeks and even been doing multiple alts to test other classes? If Blizz needs testing done weâll need access to more content.
They will probably wait a while since 8.2 is just outâŠfresh content for subs. Theyâll up the cap to 50 when the retailers start to get bored with current content so they have another place to go and play.
patch 8.2 is out. we have actual new stuff to do on retail.
the beta population will likely come back when the lvl cap is raised to 50
Itâs what will happen without layering, dead servers.
I donât think Iâve logged into my beta toon for probably two weeks at least.
Iâm still convinced there will be an open beta week, or maybe two, before the game launches.
They did it on purpose to force people in the classic beta to check out 8.2
Next week theyâll announce L60 caps on beta or somethingâŠ
LOLâŠbut there IS layering in Beta
Players are capped at level 40 genius.
Thatâs the problem with some of this. When most people talk about realm pop, Iâm pretty sure theyâre speaking of concurrency rather than actual unique player counts. Because they have no way to know the unique count, well unless theyâre on a Private Server where that information is available. Although I think they too strongly favor playing up their concurrency numbers instead.
A week after launch (maybe even less) and there wonât be that many issues with the starting zones.
And then people will complain that thereâs no one to party up with to do dungeons.
This is a problem for me tbh. Iâll never touch retail again. Itâs odd to me that most beta players are playing retail instead. We need more people who plan to play classic full time and not scurry off to bfa anytime it dangles mounts or some new grind in front of their faces.
Low beta numbers have zero to do with layering. Actually, last time I logged into the Pve server, the guild was active (like two days ago). Numbers dropped simply because most of us have tested the content to 40 and thereâs nothing new to test. Also, did I mention that no new content means itâs boring? Everyone in my discord is playing other games until Classic or is still leveling in the betaâand looking forward more beta content (and hardly anyoneâs playing BFA lol). I canât help but think that Blizzard dropped the ball on the beta and either isnât going to give enough time to test to 60 or doesnât really care.
on my 3rd quest to L40 right now as alliance this time.
Sucks to not see very many people but I know this isnt indicative of what the retail classic launch will actually be.
Iâm quite sure it is exactly indicative of what will happen with launch. Massive initial interest, followed by a dropoff of interest almost as massive, leaving a tiny percentage of people still playing regularly.
By tiny you mean the million+ who were already playing private servers right?
