Sometimes looks evolve. But I would much rather look at this
than this
We all would.
But that isn’t saying very much.
You need the face for it but I’m not going to act like it can’t be beautiful.
Examples:
Halle Berry, beautiful with short hair.
Jada Pinkett, all it does is emphasize her less appealing features. It makes her look consistently angry.
Unfortunately for Faerin, as a WoW example, her features put her in the Pinkett bracket with her short hair.
Fair point. And honestly Jada Pinkett will always be ugly to me just because of her personality.
I know I’m not the best to judge girl characters since I am of the gay male variety. But honestly the new girls look fine. Faerin is just so sweet so to me that adds bonus points to her appearance.
Was thinking more in the “as armour” category. Camouflage does not appear to be the intent for the new outfit… and honestly, the old one isn’t much better with how much exposed skin there is.
But being frank, the boob plate is the real issue, especially with the large plate below the bust. That could interfere with the ability to flex forward… though seeing the pointy decoration on below the chestpiece on the new one, you could stab yourself with that by bending over.
The one change (from a couple posts down of the one being responded to) is Alleria’s AMPLE bust appears to be reduced, or at least constrained by the new chest piece (which I suspect would be rather uncomfortable). This is arguably a good thing, as it means the bowstrings don’t run into… a couple of things when using the bow.
Nor do the bowstring magically clip through the boob.
I have grown to really like her as a character so I don’t disagree but admit it is my bias for her character saying that “the looks don’t matter at all.”
I think Faerin was a good addition after my time spent with her. I’ll admit my initial reactions were off base.
She ain’t ugly either by any means. Girl has just seen some things.
Still remember going “Oh wow she sounds way different oh my gosh hello!” hearing her talk the first time.
I kinda expected her to have a Garnet voice. I can’t help it. I see a cool black fictional chick and I think Garnet lol. So hearing her actual sweet voice threw me off for a second but in a good way.
Her voice is straight WoW ASMR imo. Voice actress freakin’ killed it.
Honestly I dont even know who that is. HAHA
Touché
A couple of her line deliveries for quests was a bit iffy buuuuuuuuuuuut I know dialogue like that ain’t exactly riveting to try and act with. I remember the actress for Aerith took awhile before she got a take down where she’s just explaining to Cloud “Hey I’m going to go over here. Handle this machine and we can both cross” or something to that effect.
When its time for actual ACTING, her actress perks right up and does a great job. I love it ( I meant Faerin’s va. oops )
I’d argue that it’s actually inspired with the “I’m not aiming at you”; throughout the entirety of act 1 and even during the DF harbinger Alleria kept going straight at Xal and it got her nowhere (and in at least one instance actively made the situation worse) thus communicating the need to step back, reasess and go with a plan as opposed to blind hostility.
Because that’s what Xal wanted; the whole of the 11.0 patch was her playing everyone (the player, the horde, the alliance, Dalaran, the cult of night, the earthen and the nerubians) like a god damn fiddle to get them where she needed to enact the plan that void toes had been cooking up.
By stepping back and doing something other then trying to murder Xal she showed that she could adapt and change and thus beat Xal. Had she instead just tried to shoot her some more Xal would ahve just dodged it or portaled the arrow into someone else without breaking a sweat and giving her all the more reason to gloat about how smart she is.
And yet we all knew that was the case, it was transparent, it was poorly executed, but was successful.
And we need an idiot like Alleria leading the charge to make Xal seem like a genius.
End of.
Night elves have always been tall, like Tauren tall.
It makes her seem less like Generic Elf Archer Girl and more like someone that’s been fighting space demons for the past 30 years.
They even resisted the temptation to give her the c.a. 2016 half shaved head haircut.
Bait thread anyway.
Somehow a female character getting angrier and stronger and scrappier
can only mean - “more masculine”.
In the context of WoW, Xal is a genius; She is almost assuredly older then Azeroth based on comments and references she’s made in the past, she’s guided, advised and manipulated untold thousands over the course of her existance while she was knifu…
If this isn’t what a genius would be in the context of the world, please clarify what you think it would be or a better example of it.
are you so desperate for attention that you think having exposed arms and a different hairstyle on a female makes them masculine?
Classic feminine traits.
I liked her armor and hairstyle and tattoos a lot more in the Legion version…
I don’t like the white armor–it looks cold. I also don’t like the hairstyle (i’m so tired of the undercut variations), and I absolutely hate the eyeliner… yuck! It reminds me of that woman from the Drew Carrey Show. Mimi.
Edit: Specifically, her armor looked high elven. Her current armor looks… like it probably works to protect her body from blunt force trauma. But it doesn’t have anything that I would say is elven in any way.
