Alabaster Thunderwing

Loyalty isn’t really loyalty if you have complain that someone isn’t rewarding you for it.

Lmao people aren’t swimming in money as much as you are in this game.

The real complaint is why isn’t there an avenue in the game some type of content you have to complete that rewards you. You know, like a mage tower??

It becomes spam when multiple posts of the same topic start popping up. Hence this post being spam.

And if you are the OP (apologies, you’re on another character here, so uncertain) then the snide tone means that part of the acquisition of the mounts bothers you. Specifically the “

You could have very easily simply discussed how good the mounts look, because they do look quite nice, and that discussion would have been a fresh, nice change of pace to the forum spam. Alas, your post comes off as yet another jab at the fact Blizzard is providing players who don’t purchase the CE a way to get the mounts.

(Again, all assuming you are the OP since I don’t see this character anywhere else in the thread).

Also this. The “reward” for our loyalty has been access to the game, which I’ve more than made use of this year. We choose to pay money to play the game. If the game is no longer engaging, it’s time to stop paying to play the game.

Not to mention, again, this isn’t even the full anniversary event. This is more to celebrate Classic coming out later this month. We have a lot more exciting, IN GAME, events to look forward to!

Loyalty; “a strong feeling of support or allegiance.” My post is asking Blizzard to look at their loyalty to their supporters, as the loyalty definition has no room for a “reward” stipulation.

I actually think they did a nice job on the alabaster mounts. Some people have pointed out things like the ears on the thunderwing don’t move fluidly when the head turns – but seems to be by design. Even if you read the description of the mount, it says something about being “chiseled by the stoneworkers of Orgrimmar”… you wouldn’t expect something that is basically living / moving stone to move as fluidly as organic flesh. Makes perfect sense to me. I love the mount. Much better than the feathered dragon, fat hog, or baby blue fox.

Every store mount should be earnable in a subscription mmo and if you argue otherwise then bless your sweet naive soul.

You should learn to budget your money like an adult if you want to have nice things. If you disagree with that, you’re too immature to talk to.

Imagine paying for a movie on netflix, when you already subscribe to netflix.

Also imagine having to put down someone’s maturity level because their argument is 100% sound enough to make you feel bad about dropping $25 on something worthless.

You’re really eating it up if you think a mount… is worth $25. There are some really good games you can get on steam for less. Much less.

Hell, the game itself? It’s telling you that you’re overpaying. The sub is $15. A mount is $25? Doin math correctly?

I stopped reading right here…

It’s actually more like owning a DVD of a movie, subscribing to iTunes and seeing the same movie on there for $4.99 and screeching that you should get it for free because the cover art isn’t the same as the DVD you own because it’s from a movie bundle that costs $30.00.

And it’s definitely not overpaying. It’s literally a quarter of the price of the Collector Edition that would normally be the only way you could get this kind of mount. If anything, we’re getting a great deal by just getting the actual stuff we can use without the pointless art books and mousepads that would clutter up your life.

These are literally just unpainted faction mounts you probably already own in game. You’re not missing anything by not buying them. And it is certainly none of your business how others spend their hard earned money. You want nice things? Save your cash or budget so you can have nice things. Instead of looking like a child screaming that a business is being a business.

The product is inside WoW. You already pay for WoW. No other fanbase would take this crap, but Blizzard’s? Slow clap.

Anyway, have fun paying for something that’s objectively not worth $25.

And you can have fun being bitter over something that has no impact on your life.

I know what’s worth money. That ain’t it chief. The only feelings I have is pity toward people who actually fall for this.

Like I said before, the sub is $15. The mount is more. The game’s doing the math for you. It’s telling you “Hey, this is a ripoff but you got it! Hyuck hyuck.”

And yeah, I’m not gonna lie, many of the store mounts are beautiful. Too bad I pay the artists to put them up in the store. Ridiculous.

You can use in game gold to buy game time tokens and then convert the tokens to cash shop funds…So literally everything you do in game that rewards gold is working towards the cash shop item you desire.

So every cash shop mount is earnable in game…what’s the problem?

Go ahead and try to tell me that most people do that rather than actually buy it.

When concerning me personally though, why would I spend way more time than I would have to if it wasn’t in the store? The store still impacts it.

I doubt you pay anything. You’re probably that guy who tries to get game art commissions in exchange for “exposure”.

You doubt I pay for my subscription? Okay.

edit: Oh yeah I remember, the forums allow non subs to post. Yeah I pay for my sub, and consequently the artists put game content that’s installed on my computer up on the store expecting me to buy it again.

I don’t know what most people do. I know that you were moaning about cash shop mounts not being available thru in game play and I proved that you are in fact wrong about that.

You said people who don’t agree with your incorrect position are naïve…what does that make you!!!

Time is money. That crap ain’t worth treating an mmo as a job, lmao. You know how much gold those tokens cost?

Besides, even if I did make that effort, I’d still look like I bought it, and that’s just embarrassing.

You claimed cash mounts are not earnable in game - and you even insulted people who disagree with you.

The items ARE earnable in game. Cost is irrelevant.

You are completely wrong, sir.

The mounts aren’t worth 25 US dollars to you.

They aren’t worth in game gold to you.

But you should have them because you want them.

But other people are the naïve ones…
