[A/H RP] The Sacred Templars – Holy Order of the Arathi | Moon Guard

“The Flame burns brightest where shadows fall deepest.”

The Sacred Templars are a cross-faction holy order of knights, spellcasters, and faithful warriors devoted to the Sacred Flame — a divine manifestation of the Light’s will and mercy. The order’s purpose is to defend Azeroth from the Void and all forces of corruption, while spreading hope and faith to those who have lost it.

Whether you are a veteran of the crusades, a scholar of holy fire, or a redeemed soul seeking purpose — the Templars stand ready to welcome you.

About Us

The Sacred Templars are a roleplaying guild with a focus on faith, duty, and redemption.
Our themes draw inspiration from holy orders of old — righteous crusaders, devoted priests, and the battle between light and shadow.

We offer a blend of serious and casual RP, suitable for both new and experienced roleplayers who enjoy immersive, story-driven experiences.

What We Offer

Weekly Friday evening RP events (campaigns, missions, ceremonies)
Smaller RP opportunities throughout the week (patrols, sermons, tavern gatherings)
Cross-faction storylines through the Sacred Flame’s unifying faith
• A drama-free, inclusive, and creative environment
• Opportunities for character development and leadership roles

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome all who walk in the Light — or seek to return to it:
• Knights, Paladins, Priests, Battle Mages, and faithful fighters
• Scholars, acolytes, or those exploring faith through redemption arcs
• Players who value collaborative storytelling and respectful RP

No matter your race or faction, if your heart burns with purpose, the Sacred Flame will guide you.

Does chatGPT write your RP as well, or just your guild recruitment thread?

lol, do you write all your hate posts on a classic alt or your main?

Surprised you didn’t use chatGPT to write this.

The void threatens , yet the Flame shall burn through the darkness.

They’re all AI slop hard avoid.

How do you expect people to be invested and engaged with you and your guild if you use AI for posts? Why are you in a hobby for collaborative writing and networking but refuse to write or have creativity? I simply do not understand. Please AI bro please. It’s just kind of sad.

Where’s your proof? When I wrote a guild recruitment thread it was just like this and that was before the advent of AI.

If we wanted to write with bots there’s plenty of websites for that.

General tells are the formatting, the specific bullet points, the way it uses dashes, the vague language, weird bolding and the way it always describes things in forms of three, the weird emphasis it places on certain things, the way it promotes and describes various subjects and the overall blandness and sterility to its processing of information. None of those by itself are a flag, but all of them together imply that it’s likely it’s heavily AI written

This is after 3 attempts to clean it up btw.

It reads perfectly fine to me. Though I will admit that I’m autistic and hyperlexic and have written things very much like this before the advent of AI.

That may have something to do with it, but it is a skill and if you aren’t exposed to a lot of AI writing tools, you often don’t know what it looks like. AI art and AI writing tools are unethical and cringe, but to use them in your hobby is just sad.

The author of this post also has edited it a number of times to try and trim the AI out of it, but it’s still very much there. Any tool that “humanizes” your “work” is lying to you. Don’t give the clankers an inch.

Wow, i really didn’t think this was going turn into a huge issue. Especially when its a guild posting meant to just put the guild out there and get people interested. Yes, I used AI to fill it out so that it would be clear and easy to read what we are about. All of the events I have run have been fully written and thought by me. Its actually kind of crazy to be this upset and offended by a guild posting.

If your first impression to a new person trying to join your Guild is an AI post, how are they going to view that as a take-away for the rest of the content you are going to produce? I would recommend taking the time yourself and formatting it yourself, rather than using an AI-writing tool in a hobby that is dominated by writers. Formatting for functionality and readability is a skill you have to learn and perfect, and goes beyond just a Guild advertisement, and into other aspects of running a guild. Using an AI tool to do it for you is a shortcut that is looked down upon by the majority of the community because of both the ethics, and the fact that it’s just lazy effort for a hobby -about- writing.

While I completely agree with your statements regarding work and art. This is not that. It was simply meant to be a posting to grab attention and get people interested. I edited it to make more sense for what I am trying to convey not to hide anything.

You definitely use chatGPT in your in-game advertising, your TRP and your writing as well.

I can completely understand this view point. I respect the need for authenticity and care regarding writing well thought out stories and campaign’s and I enjoy doing that for anyone willing to participate. And let’s not fool ourselves into believing that half of what is written on Moonguard isnt ERP garbage and not great writting full of thoughtful experiences and adventure. I just think flaming a post over and over that is simply an advert for a guild is a bit much. I wasnt being lazy or trying to fool anyone into joining. I was simply trying to promote my guild and was using a tool to do so. I have read other posts with similar formatting and didn’t see it being called out for “slop” and “lazy” so it was assumed on my part that it was completly fine.

For the record, although I have my own RP guild, we’re largely inactive. I would definitely enjoy this concept, and may have an Arathi alt I’d be willing to throw your way.
