AH Price Controls Needed

legendary prices went to the moon

And my 190s will still never sell so I don’t know why I’m bothering . . .

Yup. This was very predictable and is in no way surprising.

It’s frustrating how obtuse players can be.

I like the idea of region-wide commodities so that you can play on servers other than the big 3 without having to have a part time job to afford wow tokens (which, for all you “free market” screamers claiming that we want to gouge on prices–those higher prices were not gouged in any way, that was the market on that server. And it sucked, didn’t it? Yup. Free market is not perfect, folks. Welcome to reality). But I’ve wanted some price controls for a long time because of people that are either too stupid or are jerks ruining it for everyone.

19m after they posted that it is over 3 gold each though. People price too low and enough demand all the cheap stuff gets bought up in minutes.

Imagine being this toxic.

Lol.

This is basically how Runescape does the grand exchange, and I prefer its method a lot since it actually supports buy orders.

Theres nothing wrong with players wanting to sell stuff for cheap! They have a generous heart and want poor players like me to be able to buy stuff i wasnt able to afford prior to this change~

No, it will make it possible to level trade skills again without having to spend decades farming for mats or gold to pay gougers like you.

A gouger says what?

What you’re seeing now is the effects of price fixing by people cornering markets and making prices artificially high. This caused people to collect more of the resource even though there was potentially more than enough on the market, it was just being horded to set prices.

Now they’re all competing and you’re seeing things 1.2 million units of a herb available.

Monday, Flasks, 540g 400 available.
Thursday, Flasks, 250g, 60,000 available.

The later is the better situation for everyone but the people that were setting prices by creating artificial scarcity. And what you’re seeing now is a sensical value added price chain. The materials for a flask cost 234g

Buy them out, relist, collect free gold. :money_mouth_face:

Copy runescape.

No I like the low prices.

What they should do though is ban botting so there isn’t so many millions of things.

you know it does that right now - it is only the people who insist on their items selling right away that are having problems. I post and then walk away and most of my items have been selling. Sure some I have to list repeatedly but it is low effort to do that.

And like someone mentioned - they already have mechanisms in place that people can’t scan and cancel and repost endlessly. People need to adjust their thinking they are competing against 100s of thousands of other players so what might look like that is really just 100s of players undercutting when they post.

This…

And if you don’t think you can make money doing this, if you don’t think you’ll be able to sell it at a higher price, then the price you’re wanting is too high.

Literally can’t because the AH is busted and it won’t let you.

I dumped two guild bank pages of an ore onto the AH before the changes and tanked the price. It was happening before.
If we’re gonna have a ‘store’ where prices are set at a low end, then the SAME should apply to a MAX price and you shouldnt be allowed to charge MORE than a ‘reasonable’ amount for anything you sell.
See how that works when you try to control a ‘free’ market?

exactly.
I was farming blood stained bone in BFA early on.
It was selling like hotcakes.
It was easy enough to figure out that buying all the low cut stuff and flipping it was a good idea.
I made somewhere around a million gold in less than 10 days on just that one mat.
I have no idea what they were using it for, but it was selling for 5x or more than I paid for it.

if these folks want to make easy gold, flipping is always the way to go.

See, I’m not wrong, you are just being arrogantly incorrect. Which is toxic.

You got called out by someone else in another thread for the same toxicity.

I mean, honestly, what about your life makes you so personally bitter and angry with everybody you interact with?

Well, players can take this time to level professions. I would see if the market stabilizes though. Right now is very nice time to make legendaries and stuff for alts.

I am taking this as an opportunity to play my alliance characters and learn legendary recipes.
