AH glitch?

yeah…if youre leveling to max anyway it might not be a big deal…
I held onto a few pieces this happened with on one character till 80.

its a big deal to me because I pvp so its not much better than the lvl 80 pvp greens u can buy from the pvp vendor. I was originally getting it for a lvl 70 alt.

It’s just a result of trying to incorporate the sorting system with the scaling system. You can figure it out or not. Up to you.

for the argumentative kiddies in here who cant cope with reality.

Hopped onto a 70 druid
opened the AH, selected “leather” armor.
Set filter to “Usable only”

This was first one the list…HOVERED OVER IT WITH MY MOUSE cursor and got this…

SEE THAT “requires level 70” there? lmao

I bought THAT item…and THIS is what was in my mailbox

Any who ISNT argumentative seeing “requires level 80” on that?

lol

some folks argue just to hear themselves arguing.

This is word for word what happened to me. Usable only should not give me lvl 80 gear on a 70 haha.

It did this in DF too. Been a bug for a long time.

its been a thing for a while now.
We can expect a certain sort from a certain group in here to argue about it anyway, but it is what it is.
its gotten me twice now, lol

Yes the green one is in the original sorting list. When you click it, you can hover over the item or items that are then in the buy list and it will show that it’s the blue 80 version.

go whine for attention elsewhere ignored one…just proving every word Ive posted in here for me, lol

There’s nothing argumentative about it. I did the same thing before figuring it out. Just letting you know how it works. Up to you to get it or not.

I love how helpful your trying to be but I have to agree with the panda. If you sort it to “usable only” those blues should be filtered out of that section for a lvl 70. Feels like a catfish in the game.

ugh…that one is just tryiing to get a ‘win’ any way they can because they cant handle being wrong.

IF I hadnt used the filter Id have bought the exact same piece and it will do the exact same thing.

I agree. its a sad day in wow.

Perhaps explaining step by step how to avoid this would be more helpful than rehashing the same circular issue.

open AH
select armor type suitable for your class
if you see an item that has a required level of 70, click on that item to pull up the list of those armors (they are usually stacked by suffix… Of the Harmonious, of the Peerless etc).
before you click purchase in that second window, mouse over the item, it will give you the true level requirement.

We all agree this is dumb, and we all understand why it exists and why it is dumb… That said, the best thing you can do is arm yourself with knowledge to protect your gold.

Realistically, the highest item level green you should be able to find AT LEVEL 70 on the AH should be 510 to 516 (max). With the notable exception of crafted PvP trinkets, which have a max ilvl of 558 and can be equipped at level 70.

THIS time I just typed in “underscout’s gloves” in the search and found the same exact item, same ilvl

AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW…'requires level 70"…AGAIN
https://imgur.com/31nkYSH

HOW its searched for has NOTHING to do with the level requirement listed, lmao

you should always do this.

I think all the items that show as “70” that are 541+ items are all 80s (click and drill thru them and see all of them show 80). To avoide the confusion, you could do a limited search of level 71 to 71 if you are looking for 70 gear (that level 71 weeds out all the level 80 fake 70 gears).

I think what they are not understanding is you WILL hover over the item and it WILL BE a green one that says lvl 70 required. You buy it and what arrives in the mail is a lvl 80 blue. IT WILL NOT SHOW YOU what people are saying it will show you.

Makes me wonder if in the beginning of the expansion if people tried buying those specific items and they nerfed it but the specs in AH shows the old tier items. is my best guess.

its not really, you need to click thru the “70 top level item” and look at all the different items under the 70 mask and see that green 70 is actually a blue 80 item.

There HAVE been instances of this, but I haven’t seen it since Shadowlands though. Possible that in a very very very limited quantity it reemerges.

This expack has had all kinds of armor bugs/issues. For example… Why can I craft the tailoring cloak at 528 max level 71, BUT the armor cannot be upgraded with Sigil I at 74/75? The only upgrade is level 80… but ALL the other crafted blues at 71 CAN be upgraded with the sigil.

Its just one of those “add it to the list”
