I agree with you OP.
I have a 95 yr. old mom who some days is quite self-sufficient and other days is not. I’m off and on as needed. I also work from home online. When there is no work to be done I play. If something comes in or my boss wants to talk, I’m afk or logged off as I’m no longer available for however long. Sometimes only a few minutes, other times it’s quite a bit.
I do not ever do timed content. Including the Horrific Visions.
I realize I’m not in the majority probably though so haven’t really cared much. I just don’t do anything timed.
However I agree with you that many players these days have responsibilities that do not tolerate or allow timed content. There are many that are still carefree or that can get dedicated play time to that extent.
But there are some of us that can’t. I do wish it was optional, for those who enjoy timed content have it. For those of us who can’t do that, allow us to at least do some of the content…
I doubt Blizz will go for that though, they aren’t very big lately on choices… lol And, there are lots of players that enjoy the timed stuff.
We just (apparently) have to realize that since we have a “life” we can’t play games any longer.
(Obviously a bit of drama here, but that does seem to be the way things work a lot of the time.)
