BG3 is a darn near flawless game and yea it had diversity, but didn’t focus on it… which is what I feel a lot of people’s issue with the whole “woke” stuff is… they focus on DEI and the story tends to suffer because of it. We need more companies like Larian and less companies like blizzard and disney.
I dont agree with this statement. Nope!
My point being that might have been missed due to perhaps my own lack of pointing it out clearly enough. Is that “woke” is a relatively new term 10 years tops. The things people complain are “woke” have existed for a long time before the term and have been widely successful. It’s bad media that’s bad. It’s like the phrase “cancel culture” like its some new thing when we can look at cases going back to the 1920’s with people getting fired over things they have said or beliefs they hold from radio, movies all the way down to the corner store. These are not new ideas or concepts or boogy men, they have existed forever. That’s why I put them into the non existent catchphrase category
to sum up, the game is perfectly fine and you people need to git gud but it is not easy and I deserve full credit for accomplishing this arduous task except the game is trash and I hate everyone and you’re bad for getting mad about me being terrible even though I’m having more fun than everyone and am better at my class than anyone alive not that I care what you think, its not like I like you or anything!!
I think that is the general gist of things.
I fell like you’re too focused on the words used and not enough about the problems being presented. Why does it matter if this is a new thing or new idea? The problem is media and politics mixing and causing issues in games, then agendas get thrown around while people just want to play good games and escape into that world.
I wish all companies took the Helldivers approach, bring up real world issues and other social justice stuff, BANNED.
Except and please refer to examples given previously media has always done this and given great results. Its not a case of this political or media opinion makes our thing bad, its just bad to begin with. Aliens, Halloween, kill bill, WW and strong female roles did it make them bad? No they are great. Will and grace, queer as folk, the L word bringing lgbqt, racism into mix where they bad? No also great. Games like bg3, FF (many of its sequals), fallout bring up real world politics and issues and are also great games. The only factor is if the content is good or not. Lets take your example of hell divers 2 a great game (with political messaging in it already) be worse if people had body type 1 or 2 options of whatever? No it would still be a good game and that’s all people care about.
None of that has anything to do with what I just said.
Yeah it does. Those things mixing causing issues with games. So in return I gave you shows, movies and even games that are amazing by mixing media, politics ect in them. Why? Cause they are good games. You can take those things out of the bad games like suicide squad vs justice league for example and it would still be a bad game. You could add it a game like hell divers and it would still be a good game. It has nothing to do with a game being good or not.
The point went so far over your head and sailed into the stars only to fade into memory.
Have a good night/day bud.
Of course they are part of the decision, saying otherwise is just being intellectually dishonest.
Yet you continue to prove my point about removing agency. Nothing you have said justifies its exclusion.
Is what will happen if you remove players ability to view other players performance. Logs are actually an individuals performance in the task you are recruiting for.
Lets have an honest conversation please, leave the strawmen nonsense out of this.
You do realize that wcl does detect that, and people who actually play top 50 in their spec will go through the logs and flag them manually anyways ya?
Also if you get caught doing that like in retail wcl will actually put a big mark on your character panel.
He’s not wrong but a lot of “guilds” had no reason to recruit multiple 10 man raids until they announced p3 will be 20 man. Now they are trying to recruit for p3 but cannot guarantee those players a raid spot currently until they get a second raid up and running. A lot of people see no need to even try to join a guild right now because they will just be benched and won’t even be able to raid anyway since everyone recruiting has a “core 10”.
wtf this is bs I wanted to roleplay as kirito
The problem is “just join a guild” isn’t the magic answer he wants it to be. Guilds are wait for it still made up of the same people who are playing the game and being in a guild doesn’t change how they act.
The amount of times I’ve seen people can randoms because a guildie wanted to come pvp or do the dungeon or whatever. People 100% prioritise their own.
Eh.
The biggest problem I see among PUGs trying to find guilds is “main character syndrome”. Basically, they seem to think the world revolves completely around them and don’t seem to be able to fit into the culture of what a guild even is. It’s been twenty years since Vanilla so it wouldn’t surprise me if some of these people never even raided before.
It only takes a small amount of mental adjustment but I think it would behoove many of these players to start thinking of guild raids in the same vein as a doctor’s appointment - the doctor’s time is more valuable than your time, and while it is important for you to find a medical provider who has time slots that match your time slots, ultimately when you schedule an appointment you’re expected to be on time when you say you are. It’s really not that hard to do. That said, in an era of doordash and tktok and that enables “main character syndrome” it isn’t that to understand how some people just fail to acknowledge that other people are as important (or more important) as them.
Well said, bravo.
Exactly, guilds can be just as toxic as anything else. All “just join a guild” is doing is moving that gatekeeping to joining the guild vs when you are trying to get into actual content.
And it’s like every spec and every single class is wanted as much as every other.
They’re always spamming recruiting.
Along with a ton of other spam. I have nothing against the implementation of a properly functioning guild finder tool.
I am pretty sure you are a dysfunctional player and probably not very good
Not necessarily.
