Ages of Classic WoW Players?

LOL, something similarly happened to me. My buddy bought it on launch and we were roommates. He wanted me to play so we shared an account, I’d say after a month it was just my account and he got another one. It technically still shows his name under the account but everything else on the profile is mine.

  1. Going to be quite the change, using banked up PTO to grind levels instead of skipping school for being “sick”.

36 years young!

Started June 13th, 2005.

I’m currently 36.

There was a survey on the classic reddit that had about 10k responses. This was one of the questions on the survey.
89% of the survey responders were between 18-34.

I am 27 now, started playing a patch before AQ was released. Cant wait to get back to having fun in wow again.

HA! I feel like I’ve been genderbent.

No kids, going through divorce, more time to play though I work Remote so I can technically play anytime I want.

  1. started mmos in my late 30s. never too old to play a classic game. i mean i could play bingo but wow is cheaper (and more fun) hehe

about 20 of us still plaY togather too. though much much less obviously.

really cool to play games withpeople who you knew 14 years ago. was around while first kids born etc.

I just turned 38 and my daughter will be 13.

Same for me!

Yup…my time at college would have probably been a lot shorter if this game didn’t release. My best friend’s mom was a doctor so getting excused for crap was super easy…which made it even worse because I could just get an excuse and they couldn’t say crap about it. OH you have a final tomorrow…NOPE… I was raiding, I mean sick…here is my excuse…BYE BYE

That definitely shows the difference between the Reddit demographic and the group who reads here. Much smaller size here, of course, but it’s definitely skewing older.

So - like - you got home from school and you’d sit down in front of a computer and watch your parents play WoW? I’m imagining this like a kid who gets home and stares at the TV - except they come home, and their parents are just sitting around playing video games while they just watch them.

I think between 30 and 40 give or take. 34 here myself.

38 and trying to figure out where the time for classic will come from. I can’t see 6 hour MC sessions in my future but it will be fun nonetheless.

Over a half century.
