Yes, thank you! I’ve been saying the same thing for ages! Nice to see more people seeing the light (pun intended).

It’s even worse than you said. If the Scarlet Crusade has resurrection powers, they could’ve used that as their selling point to recruit, but why didn’t they advertise that before? If they had those that raises further questions like why haven’t other factions said anything about it or tried to harness it themselves? Why haven’t other Light factions made extensive use of them (I’m sure the ARMY OF THE LIGHT under command of a PRIME NAARU would have access to regular, reliable Light resurrection).

The Scarlet Crusade needs wins to be taken seriously but Blizzard seems averse to letting them win anything. The Scarlet Crusade are essentially the targets from a key element of fascist propaganda as noted by author Umberto Eco:

“The enemy” somehow manages to be both pathetically weak and an all-powerful menace depending on what the demagogue needs at any given time." That’s the Scarlet Crusade in a nutshell - punching bags for the author no matter how illogical that is.

This would be interesting… I wonder to what extent. We know Whitemane was actually killed, and we needed the anointed stakes to prevent her from resurrecting herself (Which is insane, and just want to take a moment to point out how powerful that makes Whitemane. Probably one of the strongest Light Wielders in existence).

But I recall the “Hooded Crusader” Quest giver at the beginning of the dungeon. Very obvious a Forsaken disguised as a Scarlet. What if every victory against the Scarlets weren’t all-out military victories, but rather more tactical and subversive assassinations of it’s leadership?

So, our victories over them can be legitimate, but merely in the effort of keeping them disorganized and disunified. But the bulk of their manpower remaining relatively the same throughout the years.

It also gives them some justification for their distrust of outsiders. Several of their leaders have been assassinated, their ranks infiltrated. They have been sabotaged in every conceivable way for like 2 decades.

Some random guy shows up like “I am here to help” ANYONE would assume it was a trick.

The problem with that is every time we fight the Scarlet Crusade or Onslaught, large swathes of them were being killed, so they were military victories. We didn’t just kill Sally Whitemane, we killed every Scarlet we encountered along the way.

Have we considered that perhaps, the Scarlets keep showing up again because Gnomes invented a social media platform called TinkerTock, and the Scarlets have been recruiting the youth with based edits with slowed and reverbed music?

Oh please, we know TinkerTock was invented by mechagnomes in Pandaria to spy on and subvert the rest of the world.
