Actually a lot has changed. The problem last season was that Sent was undertuned and the tier set didn’t do much to support aoe as much as it did to support ST. Pack leader became the go to and our aoe cleave wasn’t great.
This season however Sent cleave is back and more traditional AOE survival builds are popping off.
I hated the previous tier set and was messing around till i got my 2 piece, I picked up my spear again and never looked back. I get into ruts every now and then and i dip my toes into BM or MM to spice things up.
Beast is always the same every season… The ptr runs on high end gear, the hunters scaling is off so they have to buff them in ptr. Blizzard realizes that they are then overpowered at the start of the season and nerf them before it goes live. The hunter gets more like trash as everyone gears up and the 1 percent are doing world firsts. They buff them after it is apparent they are falling behind. We basically wait for icy to tell blizzard beast is bad. The only time beast will be competitive is when blizzard forgets to scale them down at the beginning of a season. But, unlike other classes, they will nerf beast in the middle of mdi/rwf because we can’t have them above average.
As much as i enjoy pointing out everything that Fart does wrong, if you are playing no ms cleave build the diff between AoE and ST is 1 point (dire cleave) and is like … 50k loss on st ?
So at this point it’s entirely fine to literally play this in every single setting.
Someone mentioned that half of the classes switch talents to do single and multi. I look at it this way, about swapping skills every time, if one class has to do it, so should all the classes.
Yup but I think most people were running standard cleave build, no multi is relatively new. Plus now we have a better single target with Dark Ranger that does more than the old pack leader single target so its absolutely worth it now.
I mean we had PL no multi since start of S3, and as DR you also can play no multi which works well in raid, works well in keys and is only slightly less damage than pure ST build.
ya but no multi PL didnt get traction until recently, now its super popular, I wont mythic plus without it! As for Dark ranger the single target is awesome but still need to play with Dark Ranger raid AoE which was literally uploaded to icy veins a couple days ago but if its anything like the effectiveness of the single target it will be great. Actually you know what, Im going to go test it now.
On the dummies its about a million less (for me at least) than pack leader no multi but ya gonna have to mythic plus it because the Single target could make all the difference if its killing bosses faster
