You offered no counter argument to our discussion and deflected to something else. By definition that is a concession. You’ve tried a lot and it hasn’t worked, not sure what to tell you.
This is funny, I suppose there will always be sore losers.
They are also the only class with only one role option. Also, your logic doesn’t seem to be consistent. Rogues, after all, are almost always the first class to hit level cap, excel in pvp (solo and group), can tank and are top of dps. I’m curious to know if you believe they should be nerfed as well.

I don’t think they need nerfed, but I do think its boring to see rogue and warrior at the top again like I said before.
Hunters have the easiest time in the open world, pvp, and soloing monsters. Especially now because their pets are insanely strong. Rogues/warriors are good damage in a raid boss situation. But they don’t have the same power level in the open world or ability to solo elites that a Hunter has.
Hunter is already the FOTM for Phase 1 as it is. LFG is filled with hunters looking for groups. If you form a BFD you get a million hunter whispers even though you only really need one hunter per raid. Premades are also looking to fill up on Hunters.
I agree. I don’t mind warriors and rogues be the top. My curiosity comes from the justification of hunters being lack luster.
I agree that hunters are one of the easiest classes to level but I would say locks are the easiest to level in SoD, your point is taken. I do take exception with rogues though, they are consistently the fastest levelers in Classic and most expansions.
This is true in a vacuum. I would also say that the fact rogues and warriors have an easier time finding groups should balance this out. I mean rogues and warriors are the top dps and also have the option to tank.
100% true, although warriors are now the most represented class in raids as of last week.
And now there is a hunter parse from today that is ranked 90th for dps. Point is you need more time from when a change is made to accurately judge the results, not everybody has their ahsenvale pvp buff ready for every lockout - you can’t chrono that buff, and not everybody is going to be trying to parse every raid lock out etc etc etc, you need more time, and hunters are still pumping in the top 100 proven today
Hunters have always been borderline op at low levels in era.
The problem i have with these nerfs is that they will make next phase and beyond hunter be trash. Because we all know blizzard wont buff hunters, and we know hunters drop off hard as level and gear goes up.
We also know rogues and warriors scale very well and they are already the top dps and have already received runes that will make their lvl 40/50/60 pvp absolutely crazy. The next phases of runes would have to give other classes absolutely busted tools to compete vs rogues and warriors in pvp, and over here at the hunter side we are just praying for a rune that fixes our lack of scaling on 80% of our abilities and for the runes to actually feel good to use.
Not sure about SoD anymore, but in Vanilla there were hard counters to every class. If every premade is stacking hunters. Stack the counter instead lol. Or rather, stop chasing HKs and play the objective.
Yes you can cherry pick as much as you want. Before these changes hunters, rogues, and warriors were equally at the top. You need to learn something called ‘fuzzy logic’ and ‘estimation analysis’
funny enough wars and warlocks are the only classes that currently have anything resembling resource management/rotation. the enrage rune was actually good design
Buddy just because someone has a comical username doesn’t mean they actually ARE that person. You ok bro?? It’s a video game and the internet. You sound like you are starting to see ghosts in your living room.
I think it’s important to remember that they specifically said that classes were not going to be perfectly balanced, also I expect we will see phase to phase changes.
As a warlock main right now I don’t love the pet damage nerfs, but my pet also isn’t soloing people down etc, and it’s important to remember that the post about world buffs implied that it may be only temporary, and they may roll it back.
When you look at the logs pet damage is a significant portion of a hunters DPS, and if they were getting double benefit from the world buffs effect on the hunter and the world buffs on the pet it sounds like an unintended side effect of changes they implemented. The DPS change is noticable, but how much more noticable will it be at higher level? Better to make the change now than when you are used to a huge bonus at 60. I have a feeling losing world buffs on pet will probably be a better option than losing improved stat scaling at 60.
