It sounds like OP is projecting their issues with Warcraft to other games, even though those games do their own things instead of trying to be a “better WoW.” The age of the WoW clones has ended with SW:TOR’s failure at fulfilling its initial ambitions. (And SW:TOR itself has largely moved away from being a WoW clone since it became F2P.)
In general, I can tell you that people in FF are extremely satisfied with their game and their development team. Heck, they don’t even complain that much about their cash shop. (Which is greedier than ours by the way.
)
Same with TESO, I didn’t play it as much but people seemed pretty happy with the state of their game. I haven’t seen a bunch of doomsayers calling the MMORPG genre dead or doing free advertisement for Ashes of Creation, like you see here or in other MMOs with systemic issues such as GW2.
