We should genuinely be afraid of good characters being moved into the spotlight. Like seriously.
You should hope for perpetual mediocrity and obscurity for your favorite characters. Pray they remain as they are because putting the spotlight on a character for Blizzard is more akin to putting them in the crosshairs. Whether it be a literal death sentence or simply character assassination.

When Blizzards focus goes onto a good character, they usually die or become a terrible character.

Yup, even before she got in the spotlight i been on board with that viewpoint. On that note Alleria is one of my earlier favs in the franchise, along with Garona.
Couldn’t have said this better myself. So much ruined potential (n ruined past established character building) for a buncha characters.

But in general I agree. As much as I love Rexxar I’m glad he’s just a sometimes character. Honestly I wish we didn’t always have to have big name characters at the helm of each expansion. The characters that stick out and I remember fondly from wow itself are the random little folks we met on the journey. Mankrik, prime example. Me, I’ve had a special place in my heart for Dorak ever since I first saved his wolves in cataclysm. Mylune! What a legend!
you know maybe its time for rexxar to get his own expansion…get lets say…alleriafied.

I feel really bad for longterm wow players because of the lore tbh.
On the whole I like the lore. There are plenty of problems with it, but Alleria isn’t one of them.
Alleria was better than Zero Sugar Sylvanas which is what she is now.
The primary thing differentiating her from Sylv is a lack of brains basically. Was she good? Debatable. Is she currently terrible? Yes.
I feel bad for a lot of people who get too invested in things. Like talking with a super hero fan is awful when they can’t see a story going anyway but their head canon.
George R.R. Martin would be proud.
The show writers took it up a notch in season 8 so I’d say it would even make them proud.
This is why im a Panda fan. Their legacy is encased in greatness and I dont have to worry about them being ruined since theres no reason to revisit their story

Better hope there is no Titan tech in Pandaria the way there was N’zoth and OG stuff there… otherwise 13.0 may not just happen in Northrend.
