Few things:
Don’t AFK in Warmode.
Yes, that includes even in cities because you never know when an enemy player or group of enemy players might just drop in to attack anyone who’s low level or AFK for the fun of it.
If you want fast and easy safety, just log out.
If you don’t want to log out but you want to be safe and can’t wait for the PvP flag to drop, just turn off warmode>zone into follower dungeon>zone out with a cleared flag.
Regardless of honor, fairness, or ‘challenge,’ if you have a PvP flag on, you’re asking for people to attack you, it doesn’t matter if you choose to fall asleep, go to the bathroom, or unplug your monitor, you’re still in the game with the “kick me” sign on your back.
I was RPing with someone once who had their warmode flag on, I don’t know why they did they just did, and they got attacked. I was on a level 76 on the opposite faction of my main and they were on an 80 with zero PvP gear so there was nothing I could have done about it but they kept engaging with the PvP player instead of doing simple steps to make themselves immune to being attacked until they were killed like, five times and they kept getting killed before that point because the PvPer knew the person was getting angry because they were getting killed, easy target + visceral reaction = more entertainment for that kind of player. So just… Don’t turn on Warmode unless you’re prepared to fight and don’t complain if you get blasted by someone who vastly outlevels or outgears you when you signed up for it.
