I was DR’ing poor Murphy and Sockems left and right on Tuesday. Lol

That said, I agree with Gomachi. Everything is subjective to the eye of the beholder, but even being a barely Gladiator makes people better at PVP than 95% of people who’ve ever tried arena out. I don’t think it’s crazy to say people who’ve seen 2400 + 50 wins are pretty good at the game.

it’s not, but an important disconnect here is how meaningless being “good” at this game is to providing any kind of quality feedback. examples are all over this forum of people who don’t understand the play experience anyone aside from them has, for dozens of seasons in a row till they finally reroll and get some perspective.

it’s not hard to be a 2400+ gladiator on one spec, let’s say fire mage, and earnestly believe that their comp, let’s say rmp, is a noob stomper skill check comp that should only beat morons. they only play rmp with other rmp players who also don’t alt anything except the other specs that comprise rmp, and there’s enough enmity between that comp’s enthusiasts and basically everybody else in the game that the described dissonance happens all the time-xaryu says a form of the above a few times a season, so does nahj.

this is a bit of an exaggerated example, but i think it’s relevant to explain how someone, eg sofan, can barely scrape his gladiator out of last season as the best single ladder spec in game, never think about what it’s like to be any of the other 11 classes he’s axe tossing off mount, and conclude that because it felt like an effort for him to win 50% of his games at rating high enough for gladiator, demo must be balanced.

Oh I completely agree with that 150%. Sorry I only skimmed the post and assumed people were on the self-degrading/downplay train regarding ‘what rating is good or bad,’ that Ive seen happen from time to time.

That’s the primary reason I played every healing class my first season. I wanted to see what I liked enough to main, and learn something about the competition. Having first hand perspective is the best kind of information.

A lot of the time when something is broken you’ll get forum regulars on here detailing exactly what’s broken, and ways to deal with it until it can (and should be) fixed.

Lock is one of those classes when it’s absolutely broken they all flock to the forums acting like it’s just a normal class now, and their newfound performance out of nowhere is the game just finally clicking for them.

It’s typically teams getting hit by a triple soul rot so the lock immediately dark souls with pi and sitting in line of sight of sight warlock

Pretty unhealable but I’d also consider it a misplay

Edit: but that’s not just subjective to this season, happened last season too

How about we wait a few weeks and then decide what needs to be nerfed? I didn’t think aff needed more damage anyway. I just wanted to be a bit more tanky so I didn’t just die in a stun through defensives.

Seems like it’s too soon to really know how things will play. Need to let people get some gear first imo.

Just because its a dot spec doesnt mean it has to be a dampen spec.

The only thing propping up the glass cannon element is casting circle soul rot drain

It’s definitely squishy but have your own lay on hands for like 10 seconds every minute is bad gameplay
